'Softie' crabs delay Dungeness season

I say let the free market decide. If the crabbers don't get the price they want, they can sit home.  (Nov 15, 2010 | post #3)

'Softie' crabs delay Dungeness season

This dance between the crabbers and wholesale buyers happens every year. It's all about price and much less about the quality of the crabs.  (Nov 15, 2010 | post #1)

Leno energy hearing draws litany of complaints about PG&E...

Who do idiots like McGlashan think that PG&E will just roll over when a competitor tries to take away their customers? I don't know of any business who would willingly allow a competitor to steal customers. Of course extreme leftist politicians like Leno and McGlashan have never run a business so maybe they really don't have clue.  (Nov 10, 2010 | post #11)

San Anselmo chamber opposes proposed San Rafael Target store

No, not racist at all. Just a statement of fact. Mrs. Conservative still shops at Ross but not the one in San Rafael. Yes it's cheap but the Ross in Marin Square is dirty. If you like shopping in that Ross, more power to you.  (Nov 9, 2010 | post #35)

San Anselmo chamber opposes proposed San Rafael Target store

My wife, Mrs. Conservative, told me that that in the past few years the Ross store in Marin Square has become overrun by Hispanics from the Canal and she hasn't shopped there for two years because it is dirty and poorly maintained. She thinks the same will happen if they build the Target store in San Rafael and will probably not shop their either even though we live in San Rafael. She shops at the Target store in Novato on a regular basis and other stores there because it's a lot more pleasant that shopping in SR.  (Nov 9, 2010 | post #22)

Stock market losses kill Marin pension bonus bid

Two questions: 1. Why are retirees getting a 2-4% increase when the actual rate of inflation has been 0%? 2. If the pension board can give bonuses in a year when the return on the retirement fund is greater than 7.75%, then why aren't the retires required to give back to the fund anytime the the return is less than 7.75%. This sounds like "heads I win, tails you lose".  (Nov 4, 2010 | post #10)

Study: Marin pensions $2 billion in debt

Your only argument for Boxer is that she has senority? What good will that do when the Democrats loose control of the Senate this year or in 2012?  (Oct 24, 2010 | post #38)

Study: Marin pensions $2 billion in debt

Except that liberals elect politicans like Adams who's election was funded by taxpayer-funded public employee unions. Do you think she is going to do anything about this pension mess? She is likely to press for higher taxes as the solution.  (Oct 24, 2010 | post #24)

Foreclosure disputes hit Marin court system

The Republicans caused this? Caused this woman to borrow $1 million against her house. My bet is that you've always voted for Democrats. And with Robinson's sense of entitlement and lack of personal responsibility, I'll bet she is a Democrat too.  (Oct 24, 2010 | post #46)
