there is supporting the children, then there is punishing the man... sadly there isn't alot of grey area in the legal system here. Its my personal opinon that if the woman leaves a man who is taking care of his family and doing right by them simply because she is not romanticly happy any longer she should be forced to survive on her own. Topix is a business, freedom of speech does not give you rights within a business. In fact when you set up your topix account you see that they reserve the right to change posts at will. The uneducated always confuse what freedom of speech actually is. (Wednesday Dec 9 | post #86)

Woodtard you have many issues. I am still in contact with Jeff Macintosh, Michael Todd, Joanie Mcfarland, Tracy Dawson and Randy Cole. All were residents and staff during my stay at Spectrum both visits. None are with the program any longer. They are all in contact with staff and residents from thier time at the facility as well. a 2 week settling in period is perfectly normal with any psychiatric facility so its nothing to worry about. The parents are told not to contact the child so the child can get into the routine of the facility and settle in. It gives them a chance to emotionally detox. I am an editor for Topix Woodtard, just not an editor for the Columbia forums. I can report you and have all of your posts pulled from the postings I find innappropriate. Its time consuming and a hassle for me but I can do it. If you want to be negative, at least stop being a useless coward and use your real name. I did, and I have nothing to be ashamed of :) Do not take advice from anyone that isn't willing to put thier own real name on the line for the advice they give. Chances are its some undersexed, useless, strung out teenager trying to hide behind an online personea (Monday Dec 7 | post #83)
The not calling or visiting for two weeks is actually beneficial for your child. They need the child to adjust to the new surroundings without any of the stress assosiated with RL family issues so they can get an idea where they are emotionally by themselves. That is not to say you can't visit with her therepist off campus to find out how she is doing. Alot of facilities have the exact same policy. If removing your child from the facility is against medical advice and seen as dangerous to the childs well being they would report you to your insurance company AND the department of social services so they could investigate your home and family. If you are over 18 and choose to make contact with past residents and staff that are also over 18 then there is no legal reason you can't have relationships with people who were basicly your family for alot of your young life :) Staff shouldn't try to contact underage MINORS is more of what your thinking of :) (Thursday Dec 3 | post #76)
If someone wants to be a nasty person and post negative stuff they can damn well make thier own posting. I started this particular posting with something specific in mind. I am still in contact with many of the staff and resident from my time at Spectrum and we are all still close... so we do miss each other :) I am getting very tired of the sub human people making such nasty remarks online because they feel safe doing so.
