Pawlenty's offer for special session gets cool reception

Maybe this is the Governors attempt to prove he is a uniter and not a divider.....  (Jan 8, 2010 | post #44)

Not tough at all Dagger, just sick and tired of ignorant boys who try to fit in and get the approval they desperately crave by using racist terms and stereotypes in a feeble attempt to be funny. It takes more imagination and humor than you have to come up with some of the other comments I read on here and on other topics that are truly funny. Your "little" comment took no time or imagination at all, and reveals the depth of your character.  (Jan 4, 2010 | post #86)

Bachmann to speak in Ohio

As opposed to when someone on your side is understanding; as in "Liberalism is a mental illness" kind of understanding?....  (Dec 28, 2009 | post #25)

Minn. budget deficit $1.2 billion through mid-2011

Actually, when the Governor took office, there were over 50,000 state workers; today there are about 38,000.....a decrease of approximately 24%....I'm sure another 10% wouldn't affect any of the services that you require from time to time.  (Dec 12, 2009 | post #125)

Extra DWI patrols slated for Ramsey, Washington, Dakota a...

Drinking and hurtling a one ton vehicle down the road is just as much a dangerous weapon as the gun that thugs who could care less carry. It really isn't about being protected from a police state as much as it is being protected from the "it's my life, I can do as I please" cavalier attitude and actions that both these groups have in common. If you can't see that PT, then we have yet another disagreement to chalk up between us, and probably not the last. Good to see you on the boards. And BTW, I don't drink either, just had my 4 year birthday....  (Dec 12, 2009 | post #53)

Smaller AFSCME unit backing Kelliher for governor

Actually, nearly none of the AFSCME endorsed candidates make it to the general election. I can use Howard Dean and Hillary Clinton as examples. I think your comment is uninformed and smacks of liberal baiting.  (Nov 23, 2009 | post #18)

West Side family's home chosen for 'Extreme Makeover'

What an exciting day in our neighborhood. We have many pictures of Ty and the crew, got to participate in the volunteer march to the house, and were about 10 feet from Ty and the family during the taping in their front yard. A very emotional day for the family with tears of joy and smiles all around. We hope you enjoy your vacation and we'll see you next Friday.......your neighbors, Mr and Mrs Mantra  (Oct 2, 2009 | post #67)

'Extreme Makeover' reality show wins St. Paul noise variance

I live smack dab in the middle of the area described for the noise variance. After watching the comings and goings in the neighborhood these past couple of weeks, and hearing the rumors floating about; I think I have a pretty good idea which house is being considered to be replaced here on the west side. I have found that the family is as hard working and diligent as any I have ever met. On a more self centered note, I certainly hope they institute some type of permit parking only for the residents of this area. It is going to be a zoo and I would like to park within a block or two from my house. Finally, your 'ghetto' and other similar comments reek of bias and stereotyping. And they say Minnesota Nice is a way of life here......  (Sep 24, 2009 | post #40)

After the last 8 years of growing government, and the last 8 months of growing government; I don't think one party has sole proprietorship on the "big government" tag. There is really no difference in the amount of power that the US government has over lives since the Indian Reorganization Act.  (Aug 27, 2009 | post #55)

Pawlenty dictates end game

Thanks for not attacking like so many on Topix are wont to do...Yes, i am tired of it, from both sides...but I am really tired of the Governor using his position as a bully pulpit to position himself for a national office campaign at our expense. All I can do is pinch the bridge of my nose, look down, shake my head no and wonder........  (May 14, 2009 | post #50)
