Evolution Debate

Should evolution be taught in high school?

How is this then- be able think, be able to reproduce. You know exactly what I mean. I like the way you avoid things by keep on saying "what do you mean" when you know exactly what I mean. I don't think you are that slow. I am off to bed.  (Jul 7, 2013 | post #141396)

I know when they say they appeared but what were they? What was the first one that could think and reproduce? What was the first one to develop lungs and breathe air? Ect. Ect.? Simple animals. Give some examples of a species that became 600 million years ago.  (Jul 7, 2013 | post #141392)

Animals are multicellular, eukaryotic organisms of the kingdom Animalia or Metazoa. Their body plan eventually becomes fixed as they develop, although some undergo a process of metamorphosis later on in their life. Most animals are motile, meaning they can move spontaneously and independently. Is that defined enough now?  (Jul 7, 2013 | post #141389)

Starting from the single cell that supposedly started life. What was the first animal as a whole(fish, lizard, etc. etc.) down the line. I mean just that. From single cell to multi-cell on down the line to an animal had to happen. I wondered just what animal came first as a whole that was able to think and reproduce  (Jul 7, 2013 | post #141386)

Ok reword. Starting from the single cell that supposedly started life. What was the first animal as a whole(fish, lizard, etc. etc.) that evolved down the line and how many years did it take to become that animal. There has to be a first animal that evolved and became down line from the start of life.  (Jul 7, 2013 | post #141382)

Evolution vs. Creation

I guess I missed that class. What evidence do we have that there may be a separate universe?  (Jul 7, 2013 | post #95080)

Evolution vs. Creation

The only difference I know about the spelling is - Universe capitalized = proper noun. universe not capitalized = common noun.  (Jul 7, 2013 | post #95078)

What was the first animal as a whole(fish, lizard, etc. etc.) that came from the single cell that supposedly started life? With all the different races, is any one more evolved than the others? I am asking because it seems out of all the apes and monkeys some seemed more evolved than others.  (Jul 7, 2013 | post #141376)

Evolution vs. Creation

We can not even see all of this universe as a whole so thinking there is anything beyond it is all just speculationWhich is observable Universe and it will always be finite(limited: having an end or limit) "what we can see" The Universe as a whole which may be may be infinite(not measurable: without any finite or measurable limits) "the beyondMore of them is just a speculation.  (Jul 7, 2013 | post #95077)

I may be wrong but I think he is talking about the Observable Universe vs the Universe as a Whole. A universe may be infinite, but an observable universe is only everything we can see. An observable universe will always be finite  (Jul 7, 2013 | post #95065)

I just got here and after a little reading I take that he is talking about the dam discharge is a waste of energy. I think he is saying if they would channel that discharge through turbines it would produce more energy. I could be wrong but I think that is what he is trying to say.  (Jul 6, 2013 | post #141181)

It's the Darwin crowd that lacks the facts in evolution d...

From what I see here, there are some on both sides are that way.  (Jul 5, 2013 | post #119218)

There are some people who always seem angry. Don't let these people get to you or bring you down. The battle they are fighting isn't with you, it's with their self.  (Jul 2, 2013 | post #119097)
