Herkimer students attending Notre Dame, CVA and wrestling...

I intend to buy a house in Herkimer just so I can pay higher taxes, have fewer scholastic options , enjoy the romance of Main St., donate to National Grid and embrace the excitement of a high crime area. I'm not looking to save money or raise my family in a safe community. That's for the welfare and democrat types. Oh, and if free lunches are ever offered, I'll be packing my childs lunch. I don't care if the state does offer a grant.  (Sep 17, 2015 | post #37)

Hey loser, how far would 750k go for you. By combining our building CVA saves 750k a year forever, on top of the millions we will be receiving for the next 10yrs.. At that time all of our debts will be paid off and maybe things will be better. If not we can go into debt and last another 10yrs.. MEANWHILE all things being equal, you'll be absorbed in 2 to 3 more yrs. tops. Say bye bye dumbazz.  (Sep 12, 2015 | post #6)

Herkimer County Sheriff Debate

First of all most Herkimer residents only have half a brain. With that half a brain you see we need a change, why? Because you noticed Farber doesn't have law enforcement back ground? As far as I can tell Farber has been involved in law enforcement for 12yrs.  (Sep 12, 2015 | post #103)

John Crandall Herkimer County Supreme Court judge is he...

Lets get this straight. Crandall was and is an average lawyer at best. He took the assistant DA job largely because he needed an income. Luckily for john it led to getting the DA's job just for paying some dues (The last Crandall to pay dues). ie the wife and kids. He then fell into the judgeship simply as a natural progression of things in this county. It wasn't rocket-science, trust me.  (Sep 12, 2015 | post #36)

You tell'em! I agree 100%!!! CVA & Herkimer, qualified for the free lunch grant, building renovation grants and administrative grants. And can you believe it, CVA accepted the grants. How degrading? Not only did Herkimer NOT accept the grant for administration and renovations, we "raised" lunch prices. That's right, herkimer lives for a challenge. We, at Herkimer refuse to accept handouts. We, at Herkimer are here to build character. If we need funds we place our kids in front of local businesses and go door to door with tin cans. At herkimer we are fighting to make ends meet. We intend to keep our dignity!  (Sep 12, 2015 | post #25)

C.diff at local hospitals

Do you know? If you do you're a hospital administrator. I'm thinking FOIL. No names due to confidentiality just numbers for a period of time.  (Apr 7, 2015 | post #9)

Jamo's Restaurant & Bar grand opening!

Is this place more of a restaurant, like an up-scale Applebee's? I kept hearing it was a bar.  (Apr 7, 2015 | post #54)

Copper Moose Ale House

Here come the fun months. Hold on to Rocky, Bullwinkle. :-) What a shame. Hopefully the next guy has a brain.  (Jan 13, 2015 | post #611)

Brennan - Kathy Farber - 2 peas in a pod

You're correct. Lou is not their hand picked choice. But you have to give them credit, they tried. Sylvia and Vandusen took advantage of some mindless committee members to get their proxy votes, to use as their own. But it didn't quite workout. Hell, I call that alone a win.  (Dec 16, 2014 | post #18)

If you're throwing away cash, you either don't need it or you're an idiot. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt in saying it must be his hobby. When you see an owner and an invested chef unwilling to work lunch and to pay one waitress, it tells me something is different. What's being thrown away each day, a hundred dollars, two hundred, more? And the last call at 10pm thing, speaks for itself. Yeah, we are all insane and you're brilliant.  (Oct 14, 2014 | post #445)

Garry - Otsego County?

Not a chance. Why would Garry ever work in a DA's office? Two things, he's never tried a case and two he could retire now.  (Oct 14, 2014 | post #3)

Copper Moose Ale House

It appears the owner of the Moose isn't in business to make money, this place seem to be a hobby. Hell, if you have that kind of cash and the Ale House is entertainment for you, God Bless. However if this is his needed source of income and it fails, what he tells the family as his excuse for failure and what they are willing to believe will be interesting.  (Oct 14, 2014 | post #443)

Tony Brendisi and the Village Board

I heard this too. If this is the truth there is really something wrong going on here. If we "win" the lawsuit it may end up costing us $200,000+++ due to lawyer costs and cleanup. If we "lose" it would cost us over $100,000 in lawyer costs. It costs the village to win or lose, perfect!!! If we "settle" we get extra for utilities, the cleanup and a million dollars on top. I see the dilemma, this is a tough decision. Tell me it's not this simple.  (Oct 14, 2014 | post #4)

The guy opens a nice place, an Ale House and makes it virtually unavailable. Saturday and Sunday he's open for 6hrs and you can't understand the complaints? Personally I would like to have business lunches there. It will all work out in the end. It won't be long and someone else will be running the place.  (Oct 4, 2014 | post #370)
