Faith better than atheism in the Oval Office

Not just a church... but also a nation. If we were willing to just listen to the sermon on the mount, we would be a better Christians, better citizens and a better church as a whole. I am tired of the bully pulpit tactics we employ to make people proselytes these days. Conversion must come from inside a man, and quiet as it is kept, we haven't been a very good examples of the message of Christ. Some of the most hateful language I have heard, has come from those of faith. Compassion is one the most important elements religious faith. Where is it?  (Dec 17, 2007 | post #241)

Faith better than atheism in the Oval Office

James, I refuse o drink your koolaid. This world is slated for destruction any man of faith should be out trying to prepare other men for that day. Why would this man of faith want to entangle himself with the cares of THIS world on that magnitude. There should only be one message on the lips of a true man of faith: Turn from this world's thinking, it's ways are dark... accept the message of Christ. This nation was established by men who were deists. Not evangelical men, but men who believed that people should be allowed to gather together in faith as they desire. This idea you are advocating is a slippery slope. It does not lead to other men accepting the message of faith. It leads only to corruption. The U.S. is not New Jerusalem! The blood on the hands of America can't be washed off by some Christian guy getting into the Oval office, let's just get it out in the open. The truth of the matter is this if Jesus were on this earth he would tell us all to run the other way... never play this political game. Of that I am convinced.  (Dec 17, 2007 | post #240)

Here is the problem with this concept... whose faith are we going to follow? There are too many belief systems to count. Should the group with the most followers be the ones in the oval office? If catholics got out and voted they would win almost every time. What needs to happen is that we not play this religious game. Men OF A CERTAIN FAITH are not better at running this country. Because a person chooses not to run on a platform of faith does not mean they are not men of faith. I am very leery of anyone who tries to run that kind of platform. George Bush sealed the deal for me.  (Dec 12, 2007 | post #212)

Shots fired at Pacers' Jamaal Tinsley

Whatever your ethnicity is, I did not say "racist" , I said "bigoted ". Look up the difference. Anyone who paints a broad brush can be bigoted. So who is ignorant now? I don't presume to defend Tinsley, If you had truly read my post, I was defending all the other Pacer players that you appeared to painted with the same brush as Tinsley. I said they don't deserve those those comments. Your vitriolic venom is unwarranted. I believe this young man may have the chance to change before he is really sorry. He needs to wise up, he has been foolish. But I am not going to condemn him like you have. I would rather pray for the kid and hope he turns it around.  (Dec 12, 2007 | post #14)

DOJ Questioned About '05 Iraq Rape Case

He just got caught. I wonder how much sex has taken place in the oval office? Don't fool yourself, there are more hypocrites then choir boys in our political process.  (Dec 12, 2007 | post #136)

Indianapolis is not ready. How many basketball players have played for the Pacers who were perfect gentlemen? Most. How many players can you say fit your above? Maybe five tops. The bulk of the players who play and have played for the Pacers don't deserve those comments, but you are blinded by your own bigotry. Come on admit it. P.S. One of the biggest thugs in Indiana Basketball history is now the head basketball coach for Texas Tech. OOOOHHHH!!!  (Dec 12, 2007 | post #11)

Mayweather Stops Hatton in 10th

Didn't Hatton have an undefeated record? He lost and now you minimize not only Mayweathers accomplisments, but you also throw him under the bus. You people are so predictable. When do we ever like grow up and show some class and sportmanship? The outcome was not what you wanted but life goes on. Why is it someone had to cheat. Is that the only rationalization you can come up with?  (Dec 12, 2007 | post #39)

Hey dude, Move on... Just do it. Why minimize this man's accomplishments? I got your code language between the exclamation points too. Your slip is showing and you sound like the typical California white boy. Figure that code language out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!  (Dec 12, 2007 | post #38)

Elroy, What are you smoking right now? Hatton was out manned, period. This kind of commentary you wish to use sounds weak. The man got beat. You can't explain it away. Mayweather is the best defensive fighter I have seen in a long while. He was just better. Ricky Hatton was way too slow. What fight did you see??  (Dec 11, 2007 | post #33)

Would you have said that if Hatton had won? No!! You would be calling it sweet science. Oh and Rocky is real too, right? A 5'6" guy from Philly beating up men over 6 foot tall. Sylvester Stallone has a statue in Philly as the character Rocky and the real former heavyweight champ (Joe Frazier) doesn't. Now that is what I call reality!! Lol!  (Dec 11, 2007 | post #32)

2 shootings shock Colorado

What you say is so true. The problem is your perception appears to be one of the few. I read a comment from a person on another thread that said all of the shooting going on in America is by black people. If he wrote it, I wonder how many think it and didn't write. Also, my comments at the top were mostly satirical not real. I apologize for any offense.  (Dec 11, 2007 | post #5)

what??? no comments about this?? Well let me be the first one. What is wrong with these people? There are some real crazy people in the suburbs. Guns... murder... child molestation... we need to send all of these people back where they came from... Europe. Maybe it needs to be a black person before this story deserves a comment. I bet that every forum about Mike Vick has about 300,000 comments already. Goes to show you, we can only judge those outside of our group. This story is insane!!  (Dec 10, 2007 | post #1)

Furthermore, I live in the New York area and actors, athletes, celebrities of all kinds party till dawn. Why is it wrong for this man to do that in Indianapolis?? Is the city that bad?? It seems the Hoosiers need to take a good look in the mirror!  (Dec 9, 2007 | post #623)
