High court to weigh dispute over gay bias.

Loving v Virginia. In that case it was established that the choice of whom to love was a basic right. You now have no claim to be ignorant of constitutional law and are only left with your stupidity and homophobia.  (Jan 29, 2010 | post #63)

How Will Protect Marriage Try to Defend Prop 8 In Perry? ...

I hope the defense centers on "prayer" . Answered prayer is. of course, only a 50-50 circumstance. I can also see Jonah making another court appearance.  (Jan 25, 2010 | post #2)

High court to weigh dispute over gay bias.

It may be that the christian club is the only one in town and christian LGBT members want the religious association. If that organization wants the benefits the school can offer then they must "pay the price" and follow the rules set forth by the school. Any organization is free to leave the "benefits " behind. It is a shock to so many christians that there is not immediate privilege given them when they expect it.  (Jan 24, 2010 | post #2)

3 weeks after gay marriage law, NH takes up repeal

I would guess that "live free or die" applies only for the "free" straights that are enfranchised with marriage. Proponents of "sacred" marriage would be the likeliest to favor Uganda's "die"  (Jan 21, 2010 | post #3)

Your rights of religion end when they infringe on mine. And christianity has a long history of suppression in expressing your rights. The law of this land has already said that all religious thought is equal which gives you no rights at all that surpass mine.  (Jan 19, 2010 | post #77)

A Right Does Not Grant You The Freedom To Oppress

Of the 3000 plus denominations in the United States alone which one is the true Christianity? I would hazard a guess that every religion in the world is extremely unlikely to be "true" unless the originator and the few who chose to follow that leader (especially Christ and christianity)still live. That is the insanity of all religion.  (Jan 19, 2010 | post #6)

A Right Does Not Grant You The Freedom To Oppress

Sparky, of Spark in Darkness has thoroughly nailed the state of conflict in so many areas where abusers of religion insist their privilege is a non-touchable right. We, the oppressed, whether we be from the LGBT community, or atheistic or an off the main line denominational tract, must not accede any longer.  (Jan 19, 2010 | post #2)

Is homosexuality a sin?

Try reading it in the original language. Try to really understand what is being said. The acts mentioned as abominations are all acts of worship of another god. Being the jealous god yours is, that explanation is the only thing that ties together all those fairly innocent abominations. By the way, Steve was a transsexual.  (Jan 18, 2010 | post #9952)

Not to seem contrary but only as a point of definition. The government can bestow freedom and privileges but it can not grant rights. You already have the right to love a person of your choice. It is based on the innate humanity we all have and includes many more rights that are sometimes denied by the sitting government. Privilege is taken those with it but acceptance is granted by a government and also society. You currently do not have the requisite freedom to choose your own married mate. Nor do you have the privilege of claiming government benefits accrued by simple marriage.  (Jan 16, 2010 | post #5)

Court to decide if petition signers' names public

The double standard equalityboy81 talks about has a very large measure of arrogance in it. To wit, my god or my understanding of my god is better than your understanding of your god. Well know this with certainty, arrogance will not be judged on that great final day as a "plus" for you.  (Jan 16, 2010 | post #2)
