*** Some Have, Some HAvant ***

In the movie "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" they kept saying that there are two types of people in the world. Those that have and those that are less fortunate. Here is my take on that subject! Most have mastered the English language, Some HAvant! Most have gained a basic knowledge of football, Some HAvant! Most have made constructive comments, Some HAvant! Most know their A** from a whole in the ground, Some HAvant! Most people know when to STFU, Some HAvant figured that out! Most know a QB bust when they see it, Some HAvant! Most can spot a clueless coach, Some HAvant! Most people have half a brain or more, Some HAvant! Most of us played football in HS, Some HAvant! Most of us have been with a female, Some HAvant! Most of us have tasted success in our lives, Some HAvant! your thoughts......  (May 24, 2011 | post #1)

Orton a Viking?

My Gma had hip replacement surgery (and she is 90). Seems like it wasn't that big of a deal for her. So hopefully your will have the same success. And yes to them getting their ducks in a row!  (May 24, 2011 | post #37)

Pat Williams 50/50 on return

The subject of Pat Williams follows along with the discussion we've had about Orton. If it's a shortned season, Might be best to let Pat go. He'll be out for 4 games due to suspension and he isn't getting any younger. It all depends on strike, pre-season and FA (if we have it?) But as a general rule of thumb, when SFV makes a statement. Go the other way!!!!!  (May 22, 2011 | post #10)

Orton a Viking?

I guess what it all comes down to is this. Do we want to attempt to "win it all" this year or use the year as a building/training year? I flip-flop on this daily! If we have no FA or the season is short due to strike, throw Ponder to the wolves and let him get a feel for the job. If we were to acquire the FAs that you've listed above, we might want to try the "win it all" approach. Once again depending on pre-season and how well the team gels? This strike has just messed up everything! If we keep going at this pace, we might not have a season!  (May 22, 2011 | post #21)

I agree with the short camp and that Ponder being a rookie that it would be good to bring in Orton. I'd even say give him a 3 or 4 year contract and let Ponder ride the pine for at least a couple of years. Then like you said, "when up to speed" put Ponder in as starter. This darn strike has just messed up everything. It's gonna be a long hard year for everybody.  (May 21, 2011 | post #17)

Do you have a link for the reports and rumors? I think Orton would be a good idea, just don't know how long we'd have him for (he has a lot of life left in him still). NOTE: to all those who cannot understand the english language, he (Childress) is not refering to Tavaris Jackson. You know who you are!  (May 21, 2011 | post #5)

Grade 2011 Viking Draft

Why is it that we cannot talk to "undrafted " free agents. Does the NFL have some sort of legal binding agreement with undrafted players? Makes no sense to me at all.  (May 20, 2011 | post #30)

I agree that we need to get this resolved. I'm just curious if we want to put a lot of effort (and money) into retaining Sidney Rice? Rice is an outstanding WR when healthy, but missed most of last season to injury. Can he stay healthy or is he gonna be injury prone? your thoughts......  (May 15, 2011 | post #2)

Or do you put Ponder and Webb on the field at the same time and make the defenses answer that question? An updated version of the wildcat??  (May 3, 2011 | post #22)
