Adam Lambert's Shocking AMA Performance: Love It or Hate It?

Ummmm...video...DO NOT BLAME ME for fallen moral values, especially complete acceptance of the homosexual lifestyle! No, homosexuals should NOT be abused, nor discriminated against. But neither should they be legally married, or teach my son's or daughter's gym class!  (Nov 25, 2009 | post #77)

Best Buy under fire for Muslim Happy Eid al-Adha holiday ...

Clearly, Best Buy's decision (they claim) to begin adding specific holidays in their advertising materials, was begun with little thought of how many might be offended by their choice of which would be chosen first. Wal-Mart has sales people as knowledgeable as those at Best Buy (which I understand isn't saying much), lower prices, and similar products. Just a hint...  (Nov 25, 2009 | post #7)

Adam Lambert's Shocking AMA Performance: Love It or Hate It?

Careful! In Akron and Summit County, in a few weeks, it will be ILLEGAL to post comments of an anti-homosexual nature...  (Nov 23, 2009 | post #52)

The Cleveland Browns lose to the Detroit Lions

It was TOTALLY expected, even in the 1st quarter when they scored 3 TDs. Anyone remember the helmet-throw that snatched defeat from a certain victory? I think it was about 4 or 5 years ago, time had nearly run out, someone threw a helmet in "the thrill of victory," an "Unsportsmanl ike" penalty gave the opponent another play, and BINGO, another loss, game over. I'll root and cheer for the Browns forever, but I NEVER expect a win--EVER!  (Nov 23, 2009 | post #20)

End to gas zone pricing gains approval of law committee

Now, the places where the prices had been lower due to the discounting, will see their prices rise to a general state level--nice work CT!  (Mar 9, 2009 | post #14)

Wetland issues could bog down plans for medical center in...

BECAUSE WE CAN'T EAT THEM!!!!! I don't eat steak, turkey, chicken, pork because there are too many turkeys, chickens, pigs or too much cattle! The point about taking ducks to the Haven of Rest for food was obviously in jest (at least to anyone with a sense of humor). From the article, it appears there are other wetlands which won't be affected, and this particular wetland area would appear to be as little affected as the builders can possibly manage. The points about traffic, and additional businesses being established are good, and one would expect this has already been studied. That issue is up to the local residents and government to resolve. But again FROM THE STORY it sounds like the wetland issue is relatively minor--let's hope so, anyway.  (Aug 21, 2008 | post #14)

Bob Dyer: Money grab is coming to I-80 in Pennsylvania

"When a ramp is rebuilt, why not add one of those metal devices you see in parking lots that puncture your tires if you go the wrong way? Interesting concept. Costly, but interesting." Yeah, only affordable by car rental agencies and parking lot operators. Not worth any lives saved.[/end sarcasm] Surely there are ramps where the cost would be justified, based on stats where it would be an easy error to make, drunk OR sober.  (Aug 14, 2008 | post #1)

Team USA tops Greece, heads to medal round; Lebron scores 13

Not so. No matter how great a player is in his own tiime, and how you compare that player to his contemporaries and those who preceded and follow, there will always be a better player. Whether that is LeBron remains to be seen, but there will be someone. I agree Michael has been the best to now. But don't confuse realism with disrespect. A better player will come along. And a better one than that, too.  (Aug 14, 2008 | post #2)

Preseason scams fans

Perhaps the best (only?) response the fans have to this rip-off is simply NOT attend the games. That way, concessions and parking would not add anything to the "stolen" profits.  (Aug 11, 2008 | post #17)

deputy acquitted in inmate death

Actually FV, he didn't. "...to have your son die at the hands of the people in a position to protect him is horrendous." Is this not EXACTLY what occurred? (I will refrain from calling you stupid, since I've read a few of your posts where you didn't appear stupid.) Unquestionably, this whole episode is terribly sad. Hopefully further investigations will be done and publicized.  (Aug 7, 2008 | post #417)
