Judge overturns California's ban on same-sex marriage

You still spouting your uneducated version of American law? If the people of California amend their constitution, and it is in direct violation of the United States Constitution, then it is the court's OBLIGATION to vacate that amendment. You don't have enough brains to fill a thimble.  (Nov 13, 2010 | post #28350)

Gays in military: Do allies' experiences matter?

The military has been DECIDEDLY harmed by DADT. It's a FACT. Read the recent trial transcripts. Congress very likely will NOT repeal DADT this lame duck session, and it's pretty much assured that the upcoming Republican congress will be even less likely to. BUT there ARE the courts, you disgusting piece of maggot meal. And we are winning in the courts every day. DADT will be dead.  (Nov 13, 2010 | post #323)

Gays in military: Do allies' experiences matter?

Oh yes they are, you piece of squamous cell cancer. There are soldiers being discharged EVERY DAY because of who they love and/or have sex with.  (Nov 13, 2010 | post #322)

What makes you think that homosexual soldiers are any more "obsessive " about their sexual behavior than straight soldiers are? You're just a bigot, plain and simple.  (Nov 13, 2010 | post #321)

Gays in military: Do allies' experiences matter?

1. Yes, we certainly are. There are key military personnel who are losing their jobs because of who they are attracted to. Translators in key languages, medical personnel, the list goes on. 2. It's arguable that ours is the "best" military in the world. And social experimentation is not what this is about. It's about civil rights. If you had heard the court testimony in the DADT cases that are now before the bench, you would not be making the stupid statement that small unit cohesion will be diminished by gay soldiers. It is being diminished NOW by the discharges of competent soldiers who are looked up to by their unit. 3. Men are ALREADY showering with gay men. And most of the time, DADT notwithstanding, they KNOW it. Read Judge Phillips' decision, dear. She devotes a full TWO PAGES to the ridiculous issue of showers. 4. So what? And how do you know? You really don't give our troops much credit, do you? 5. Hunh? Who? His sexual orientation is relevant, how?  (Nov 13, 2010 | post #320)

Really? I didn't think women were allowed to serve forty years ago! It would be nice if you would give us some rationale for your "position " instead of just repeating it over and over.  (Nov 13, 2010 | post #319)

Um, there are already about 60,000 homosexuals serving in our military.  (Nov 13, 2010 | post #318)

Ellen DeGeneres Calls Same-Sex Dance On Israeli DWTS ‘Weird’

I actually knew one of the dancers from the Trock. I've seen them several times; absolutely hilarious, especially if you know the dance and choreography styles they are parodying, and yes, extremely talented dancers. Can you imagine the skill it takes for a 6 foot tall man to dance en pointe? I took a pointe class for men, and it ain't no picnic in the park! I quit after two weeks, when I took off the pointe shoes and poured blood out of them. Literally.  (Nov 13, 2010 | post #10)

Marriage IS a basic right. The Supreme Court of the United States has ruled on fourteen separate occasions that it is. And gays and lesbians are STILL discriminated against in the workplace and in housing in many parts of the country. We have failed countless times to pass ENDA. Gay and lesbian soldiers serve and put their lives on the line, and are afraid every day that someone will out them and they will lose their career.  (Nov 13, 2010 | post #71)

You seem to be under the mistaken impression that only homosexual men engage in anal sex. You could not be more far from the truth. There is no such commandment in the Bible, by the way. Even if there were it would be irrelevant, as the Bible is not the law in America. The Constitution is.  (Nov 13, 2010 | post #70)

What do you mean? Do you have a problem with gay and lesbian couples' marriages being recognized by the government? What problem, I wonder?  (Nov 13, 2010 | post #69)

What ignorance. "Bride" means "the female celebrant in a wedding ceremony." "Groom" or "bridegroom " means "the male celebrant in a wedding ceremony." So if two women are marrying, both of them are brides, and if two men are marrying, both of them are grooms. The "giving away" of the bride by the bride's father is not so charming a tradition when one realizes that it hails back to a time when the woman was thought of as property; first her father's and then her husband's. Hence, the "giving away." And the bride was seldom given, she was usually bought and sold.  (Nov 13, 2010 | post #68)

There is ample literary evidence from the time that supports the term "born eunuch" being one of many terms used to describe homosexual men. The noted historian Josephus actually went so far in one of his writings to warn against using "born eunuchs" as harem tenders, for while these eunuchs typically have no stomach for coitus with females, the harem members would get them drunk, seduce them and then become pregnant.  (Nov 13, 2010 | post #67)
