It's all about Webb

I'll take Bethel-Thompson over both Webb and Ponder. Webb is a runner first passer second. With Harvin and AP we have enough running. Ponder...well hes a halloween qb, looks the part well but nothing more.  (Nov 5, 2012 | post #8)

Free Agents the Vikings SHOULD target ->

Here are a list by positions I think the Vikings should target for the 2010 season: QB: * No doubt #4, regardless of what people think/say, the man's a beast, still has it and got us to the NFC Championship and pretty much shouldered the team to OT. But if he doesn't come back... 1. Matt Moore: He controlled us, and is a young up and comer, we gave Sage Rosenfels a contract why not Moore? He's done better in a handful of years then Sage and TJack have done together. - other then Moore, nothing else is really out there FA wise. Trade/Draft are our best bets, and honestly I'd rather stick with Moore. RB: * Taylor is probably going to be on his way out, so we need a good 2nd option or possible 1st who WONT fumble: 1. Jerome Harrison - he's a sleeper in mainstream, has good hands and can run. Key word: GOOD hands 2. Jerious Norwood - is a good 2nd option, has experience and is a dependable 3rd down back, with yet again good hands. FB: * I'm sure we will keep Tahi, but if not Leonard Weaver would be a great steal - but i doubt the Eagles will let him go. WR: * Rice emerged big, Harvin minus migraines was above average, Berrian was a hit & miss...we need someone opposite Rice. 1. Vincent Jackson - Why not? He's better then anyone below our top 3 and is equally if not better then Berrian. 2. Miles Austin - would be great to get, but I'm sure he will sign with Dallas. If not though, I wouldnt mind him Rice and Harvin. OT: * I'd like to get a new LT, but its unlikely. If possible though, Marcus McNeill would be great on our line. C: * Sorry but His run blocking is non-existent. 1. Kevin Mawae - he's 39, but still better then 99% of C's, besides as we've seen age doesnt mean much. DE: * Ray Edwards was the talk of the Cowboys game, but the rest of the season he didn't do much. If he isn't re-signed: 1. Julius Peppers - Across the D-line from Allen with the Williams wall? Money wise I don't see it happening, but that would be the dominant D-line in the NFC. Other then him, our best bet is to stick with Edwards. DT: If Fat Pat decides to hang it up, we suffer a big loss: 1. Dwan Edwards - Filled in for the Ravens and was a beast aganst the run. 2. Barry Cofield - a sleeper but a good player waiting to make a splash. LB: * Leber is getting old and has 1 year left, Henderson is great but that leg injury was awful and Brinkley still needs another season to mature pass defending wise: 1. Kirk Morrison - is really the only one that is realistic and wont kill the bank. CB: * A huge need for us, Winfield is getting old, Griffin will be out for a while and Allen is too immature play wise, we need a huge upgrade: 1. Leigh Bodden - Very underrated, could dominate quick. 2. Dunta Robinson - Injury prone - yes, but if used in the nickle he will be fine, and an upgrade. S: *Another headache for us, we sure f***ed up with out Sharper, regardless of the scheme - Johnson is not what he was billed to be and Williams is soft. Sanford is the only solid one and he was a late pick rookie...cmon now: 1. Bernard Pollard - hands down the #1 safety on the market. 2. Antoine Bethea - will stay with colts, but would like to see him in purple. 3. George Wilson - a sleeper, but can make an immediate impact.  (Feb 13, 2010 | post #1)

NFC North draft analysis *****

I think our first two picks improved 2/3 spots we needed to fix. the LB was a steal imo, he looks like a beast that can fill in on special teams and behind henderson. And to all of the people that keep talking sh!t because percy failed the drug test. Ya big squat, so he's an idiot...doesnt take away his skills on the field. I'm sure 50% or more ppl at the combine smoked weed, but were smart enough to smoke it around combine time. I mean everyone is making such a big deal about it, get over it he smoked and got caught big deal! IMO I'm glad he did get caught smoking weed, without that he'd be on another team like the packers, lions or bears.  (Apr 27, 2009 | post #25)

*Possible relase of Levi Jones & Hank Fraley

From, the Bengals might release Levi Jones. Seeing as how he is very injury prone, but he could fit in great to back up both LT and RT, in case of injury. Hell, just by getting him so no one else in our division get him. Also the Browns might release veteran center Hank Fraley, anyone is good competition for John Sullivan right now.  (Apr 27, 2009 | post #1)

Buffalo Bills pulled into Kevin, Pat Williams' StarCaps l...

I think the NFL should just relax on this subject. Fine em, but dont suspend them. The fact they are fighting this so much just shows how serious they are about their innocence. I highly doubt that if they were guilty they'd keep fighting. Both players are what the NFL should want the new rookies to be like. Team leaders and hard workers. They need to worry about bigger things like trying to find a way to help the Vikings build a new stadium.  (Apr 27, 2009 | post #2)

Cutler to Bears - also sign OL Pace

Well the Bears have up graded since last year.'s Steve Wyche reports that the Broncos will receive first-round draft picks this year and in 2010, a third-round pick (84th overall) this year and quarterback Kyle Orton in exchange for Cutler and a 2009 fifth-round selection. Just moments after agreeing to trade quarterback Kyle Orton and three draft picks to the Denver Broncos for Jay Cutler, the Bears announced that they had agreed to terms on a three-year contract with free-agent offensive tackle Orlando Pace. The Bears also agreed to terms with offensive tackle Kevin Shaffer last week. - And the vikings sign...Karl Paymah...well Chilly has done it again. We could have at least picked up a tackle. I dont want to hear the excuses for Pace being injury prone and past his prime, he is 10x's better than Cook and Hicks...he's on par with McKinnie. Jeeze, the division will be tough to win this year with our crop of sh!t QB's. GB has a stacked QB depth chart (even though they're young, they will have plenty of time to develop), Chicago has Cutler, Detroit will have Stafford and we have...TJack and Sage...enough said.  (Apr 2, 2009 | post #1)

Vikings need another Williams...

Unless we could sign Williams cheap, I mean CHEAP, I wouldn't bother with him. His pass coverage is non existent and we're trying to establish pass coverage lol. Not to be sour, but I don't want non of the Cowgirls rejects.  (Mar 5, 2009 | post #5)
