Abortion Debate - Somerset, KY

My question to you would be that it seems the Republican party is all for a unborn child's right to life...however once they are born should they be well it's okay to starve them. I just don't understand the mind set really for yes it's okay to bring a child into the world and you can not be for abortion however once they are here well forget about them they are on their own and can now go with food....ect.  (Jun 29, 2014 | post #1059)

Texas Roadhouse

They may however I am sure there are more than a few TRH locations in Ohio there are other places that are closer to the water ie The River House and Sully's. Plus they are open all day for Lunch and Dinner I would love if they did open a Cheddar's.  (Feb 11, 2014 | post #133)

Well the fact that you think things can't be mixed up is the first problem with the amount of volume this store is doing I am sure it could happen. This is why people who are taking care of take outs should ALWAYS open to the box and compare it to the check. This is how places save on the bottom line. I have heard alot of good things but I have also heard bad things such as wrong food, wrong temps on steaks or prime rib. I think that maybe the training team could have made things a little better before packing up and leaving. I have been in store openings and they can be great if you have people who know how to do their job without someone standing over them 24/7. I think the fact that they managers at this location are not offering to discount items that come out wrong or are packaged wrong is going to be the snag for this location. The goal is to make the guest feel welcome and want to come back if they had anything other than a correct meal if this means you have to discount the food as a good gesture or give them a free app for the next visit. The fact that the management team is failing on this part makes me wonder how well the sales for this location is going to be in the future.  (Feb 7, 2014 | post #118)

Steak n Shake Somerset

If they don't have anything in front of the site I would check out the main site and see if you are able to apply there. If I had to take a guess they will be opening soon after the building is completed. http://www.steakns hake.com/careers  (Jan 11, 2014 | post #2)

New Snappy Tomato?

Well it is good for the price and the pizza is much better than what gatti's pizza. They were not serving beer as of yet when I ate at this location on Thursday however while I was there the ABC did come in and hand them the licences to be able to serve. I would look for them to be serving in the next few weeks and the food and wait staff was great. It's just like the pizza you order and pick up or a driver brings to your house.  (Jan 11, 2014 | post #12)

I am really having a hard time wrapping my mind around why this is such a huge problem. If I had to take a guess it is something that they have market researched and it something to get people in the door something to get customers to relax enjoy and have a good time. I worked at a Roadhouse not here but in another city. It was the most relaxed work environment that I have ever had in my life I can say this now as an adult and the owner of an LLC. I guess it's that one thing that they want to be in the back of a guest mind when they leave. It's something for them to tell their friends about so they have return customers. I don't think this is going to be a problem for this location as they are very busy everyday for the house they are open to the public. I am sure that not every store opening is a hit like the one there. I love the food as I have not dinned that this location yet but have ate at other locations in other cities and it's always been great food and a good time.  (Dec 27, 2013 | post #96)

Snappy Tomato

If I had to take a guess it's going to be somewhere close to Gattis Pizza. I wouldn't look for it to move to far from the location that they are in right at the moment. I am sure it will be a much welcomed opening when they get it up and running it should do well I would think anyway.  (Dec 23, 2013 | post #2)

Well I am not sure about the whole line dancing thing. I am not sure that it's something they should keeping doing if it's something that the staff and the customers are not to keen on. I mean that is the way that I would view it I could see it as something for people to talk about to try to get more people in the door. It however looks like they are not having this problem it maybe come more of a problem when SteaknShake opens right next to it as it will be a 24 hour. I am a little shocked by the fact that TRH is only open 6 hours a day M-F and all day on Sat/Sun. I think that was the goal when they opened the Cheddar's in London however it looks like that changed before they even opened the doors. The food there is great and the service is as well I am a little put off by the fact they are not going to move one to this area as I think that it would be great and it would give everyone a little more choice as to where they choose to eat when they are dinning out.  (Dec 23, 2013 | post #82)

I am sure that whatever problems they are having will work themselves out there are always kinks that have to be worked out the first 6 months to a year after a new opening. The fact is they are having no problem getting people in the door it's always packed. I however am not a fan of the hours and the fact they are open only 6 hours a day M-F and then are open all day on Sat-Sun. I think that if this location is looking to stay in the black when it comes to operating they are going to have to open for more than 6 hours a day M-F. If not in the Summer months they will get some local but nothing from people who are out of state. The fact is they offer about the same that that you can get at The River House and it's closer to the lake.  (Dec 19, 2013 | post #64)

twc 'modem rental' charges coming

I have to say not really sure why they are just trying to start this I am sure if anything it's going to cost them money. I mean who would pay 5.99 a month for something that you can run right out to Wal-Mart or any other retail store to replace. Then you return the one that you have that is the property of Time Warner. I mean I think that is what I would do but I have never rented for any cable company as its just a way for them to add extra on your billing.  (Nov 15, 2013 | post #4)

Texas Roadhouse Opens Dec. 9th!!!!

I can't wait it's a much needed something new in town for people to enjoy. I won't be going into dine for the first few weeks they are open. I know how stores go when they first open. If it's anything like a store opening that I did. It was just over all not very well planed cook times over things over cooked or under cooked. I just would hold off eating there for a few weeks until everyone is in the swing of things. I don't know but depending on the staff this location hired is going to determine the success of this location.  (Nov 15, 2013 | post #4)

Supreme Court is a joke

I think you may understand how it is that the Supreme Court operates. It has nothing to do with President Obama do you even know how many justices he has appointed to the Supreme Court?  (Jul 1, 2013 | post #3)
