*Brad Porton is out on bail.

for some reason my response didn't show up so I am writing it again. I worked closely in the community with Brad for years. I saw the boys with him, if they weren't with him his mom was. I had a gut feeling what was going on. You could see the boy's faces, you could see how they acted around him and him around them. In 2010 I wrote a letter to the editor stating that Brad needed to be investigated. Nothing never came from it. Yes I should have come forward about what I saw and heard. But at the same time I had to make sure I could put food on the table for my own children and if it would have been made publicly I would have been ruined because of who they knew etc.  (May 4, 2012 | post #57)

I am one of the people that saw it with my own eyes for years. I worked closely with brad in the community. I saw how he would have at least two or three boys with him at all times. When he wasn't with them he was with his mom. In 2010 I wrote a letter to the editor and nothing came out of it, complaining about the problem and asking him to be investigated. I couldn't come out and say who I was publicly because with their family influence I would have been ruined. And of course I felt for the children that I had high suspicions of them being abused but at the same time I had to put food on the table for my own children.  (May 4, 2012 | post #55)

I have known Brad for eight years, we have been very involved in the community on different projects over the years. He has done some really nice things for me, he has done good things for the community, and he is very likable, but at the same time I just had a feeling that something was out of wack like I have said before. Think about it, a 27 -30 year old man does not hang out with 12 year olds and that is how it has been with brad for the eight years that I have known him. There was this one little boy last year that I have thought about for a year, he was pitiful, you could tell he didn't have anyone in the world, and he looked up to Brad, he thought of Brad as a movie star. But you know what for the entire day that we were all together, Brad didn't even feed him or the other boy. I asked them have you had anything to eat and they both told me no. I feed them. As for Brenda, sure she has done a lot for the community but basically it has been just to make her name, I feel sorry for her because I know it is harder on her than an average mother of a sex offender, she stuffed Brad down everyone's throats for years, like he was a God or something. I don't know how she is ever going to show her face in this community again, just for that mere fact. And she had to know something was strange about her son always having kids around, afterall she is not stupid. Anyone knows that is not normal.  (Apr 26, 2012 | post #73)

I have long suspected Brad of this. And I feel, it is not only Brad that is guilty, but the community leaders that saw this for years and didn't do anything about it until now. Someone, should have brought the subject up to the police years ago. But they didn't because of who his mother was in the community, we just turned our heads. He would show up at all events that he participated in with two or three young boys, each of the boys came from homes that were broken, most of the time. Just like a predator searches for. These boys you could tell were just wanting attention, their clothes were often dirty, or wore out. He ordered them around like step children as they set up his sound equipment and such. The boys looked lost. And this went on for years. This is nothing new. When the boys were get to a certain age, over the age of 15, the next time you would see Brad he would have a whole new group of young boys to replace the ones that had "aged out" its sad. Everyone is feeling sad for Brad's family, but what is sad for those boys, many who didn't look like they were cared about by anyone.  (Apr 25, 2012 | post #138)
