Amazing change occurred at transgendered woman's funeral

Oh that was a rediculous comment she made about stinking in the stalls. I've been in plenty of women's restrooms and some women don't smell like roses. Yes some people just want to stay ignorant. They don't want to change. They stay stuck in their thinking and miss out on some things they could be enjoying.  (Dec 21, 2014 | post #40)

Anyone that comes here just to spread negativity and hate is wasting their time and energy. They aren't saying anything original because we all have heard it before. You think by spreading this negativity and hate is going to change something it isn't. Transsexuals have a right to be happy. Transsexuals have a right to be respected. Transsexuals have a right to be able to exist without all the hate. We are who we are and nothing can change that. One of you talk about raising kids in a freak show. Transsexuals are not freaks we are human beings and should be treated as such. No one is hurting your children. No one is hurting anyone. What's wrong with teaching your kids that there are all kinds of people in this world? Isn't parenting about preparing children to live in this world? They are going to be exposed to all kinds of people. Do you feel like it's hard to explain to a child why an Asian person looks the way they do? What about explaining to your children when they encounter someone with palsy or down's syndrome? Are they freaks too? The people on here that are all about negativity need to wake up and open their minds and think a little.  (Dec 20, 2014 | post #38)

Again, it's not up to you to fix anything. It's none of your business. There's nothing to fix. Who do you think you are telling people they are living their lives wrong? Who put you in charge of other people's lives? You are not changing anything so you might as well be quiet and go spew your negativity somewhere else.  (Dec 20, 2014 | post #37)

That's the thing. There's nothing wrong with transsexuals. Not mentally only physically but you either don't want to understand or you aren't capable to understand. Why don't you give this a try...try being more understanding, try being less judgmental, try being more educated so you can make educated comments. By the way, you said, "except" you should have said "accept. " You don't know what words to use yet you think you are an authority on how people should live. We aren't making life difficult. It's people like you that makes life difficult. Get off you high moral ass and come down to earth. I don't believe god made me. My parents made me. I don't believe there is a god and I'm sure you'll have something to say about that too. Stop worrying about how other people should live and worry about your own life. That's what you should be concerned about and let other people worry about their lives. Stop policing other people. It's not your job. And what "style" do we "flaunt? " You are judging a whole group of people by the actions of a few. You don't do that. You don't have the right to do that. No matter how many people agree with you transsexuals are not going to go away. Transsexuals have existed for centuries. Transsexuals aren't hurting you. Transsexuals aren't stopping you from living. Why do you care? Why do you even think it's so important for you to come here and tell people how they should live? You making negative comments is not going to stop transsexuals from living so you might as well save your energy. Save your energy to make positive changes in your own life instead of infringing on other people's pursuit of happiness. You aren't changing one thing.  (Dec 20, 2014 | post #36)

Oh wow! men stink more! You are soooo petty and so immature and so uneducated it's a shame. You don't understand that life is difficult for transsexuals to be who they are. You act like it's a choice. Really?? If it's a choice do you think transsexuals would choose to enter a world that is so full of judgmental people, ignorant people, people full of hatred? Really?? No, you need to do some serious research before you judge anyone!  (Dec 20, 2014 | post #35)

Why is it that people that don't agree with someone's lifestyle has to go that forum just to say they don't agree with it? That's like a straight guy going to a gay bar and yelling he doesn't agree with homosexuality. What do you think would happen to that guy? We all know there is always going to be people that don't like us. But you know what? That happens in every community, even straight ones. You can't expect everyone to like you. But you don't see people walking down the street telling everyone they don't like so and so. Being transsexual hurts no one in the general public. Do others feel threatened? If so why? I would love to know the reason why some people feel hurt or threatened or whatever by our very existance. Even when it comes to restrooms. How does even that hurt anyone. We do the same thing you do. We choose a stall, we do our business, wash our hands and maybe brush our hair and fix our makeup. How is that hurting anyone? What's funny is you don't hear men complaining when a female to male uses the men's room. I wonder why that is? I think it's shear ignorance. I think women can't get over the fact that just because we may have a penis we can't be feminine. That just because we may have a penis we want to rape you. That's where the ignorance comes in. It really makes no sense to think that way. Do you think with all the negativity out there and us just wanting to be accepted we would want to bring even more problems on ourselves? Plus we have no desire to harm anyone anywhere. We are still human beings that have feelings and want respect just like anyone else. We are not freaks of nature just like a person born with cerebral palsy isn't looked at as a freak. Or a woman that's not able to bear children. So think before you hurt!  (Nov 22, 2014 | post #9)

How ignorant you are! How old are you? You sound very immature. First of all why did you even go to this forum if you are don't agree with the topic? That would be like a straight man walking into a gay bar. Multi creature, sick bunch of puppies, we are still here. We always have been and we are not going anywhere and trust me we have heard it all. You are not unique in anyway. No one is hurting you or anyone else. And as far as your question about restrooms, we don't choose the same way you don't. We use the appropriate restooms. It always amazes me why someone like you would even read something like this when you don't have the mentality to understand. Next time try to understand the topic before you engage in one.  (Nov 21, 2014 | post #8)

Transgender woman's lawsuit leads to change

Yeah but like you said in one of your comments that just because there is a law doesn't mean people will stop abusing us. Where I live I still know people that won't rent to black people even though there is a law prohibiting discrimination. They just say it's already taken or they have to do more work on the house or some other excuse not to rent to them. So there probably are people that won't rent to gays or transsexuals. I think what's happening in this country is that more transsexuals are coming out to the public which is a good thing. There is also more transsexuals in the media. I mean you don't have to advertise you are a transsexual, just be yourself and be seen in public. I do however think it is easier for gay people in this country because you generally can't tell by looking at them if they are gay or lesbian or not. IMy only regret is that I would have liked to have seen this acceptance coming when I was a lot younger. It would have been easier for me to come out sooner. Heck even when I was 20 I didn't even know of the word transsexual. I didn't know the word existed. I didn't know there were others out there either. When I was 20 there were no PC's to interact with other people. Still, even in 2014, in my town there is not one transsexual living here. I don't know any that live close to me. I would have to travel 2 hours to Pittsburgh to meet other transsexuals. I'm glad there are more transsexuals willing to come out I just wish there were some living closer. I even wonder if there are other transsexuals living closer to me but are afraid to come out. Knowing the parents in my town, they would not accept their child as transsexual. The people in my town are very backwards, church going, uneducated and ignorant. There are even people in my town that can't read or write and I am talking about adults. The adults that can read some can't spell very well. All they know is manual labor and they live as if it was still the 1950's. Maybe the young transsexuals move away after they graduate and live the way they want to. Most young people that graduate from this area so move away because there is no work out here except the fracking industry which I am very against. But I do live the way I want and so far I haven't been beat up or killed for it. In the past I have had my tires slashed, cooked spaghetti thrown at my door, potatoes thrown at my door and used condoms put on my windshield. That was about 15 years ago. Nothing lately.  (Nov 15, 2014 | post #5)

New Jersey Senate Passes Transgender Birth Certificate Bill

Hi Terry...For some reason I am only now getting an email letting me know someone replied. I know this is old but will comment anyway. I haven't legally changed my name yet. I will be doing that next year because I have a lawsuit going on right now and it would be too much to change all the legal documents right now. Anyway, Even without the name change, in my state of Pennsylvania, I can get "Female" put on my driver's license as long as I have a licenced psychologist to sign a form. I elected not to do that because I thought it would look stupid with a "female" on my license with a male name especially since it says, "Jr." at the end of my name. Once I change my name legally I will change the gender on my license and my name at the same time. I will also change the gender marker with the social security office which any transsexual in any state can now do. Are you going to change your last name or have you? I didn't understand when you said 100% traceable?  (Nov 15, 2014 | post #4)

Wow! Such an educated comment! How long did it take you to think of that one? How would you know about eating buttholes anyway? I wouldn't know anything about it but you must know a lot of it since it was the first thing you thought of. Why don't you grow up and then make a comment!  (Nov 15, 2014 | post #4)

Transgender Acceptance

It is NOT the law! You need to read up on it. Not all places have the same law. AND NO one is FOOLING anyone. You need to learn the difference between gender and sex! I may have a penis but that doesn't mean that my gender is male.  (Nov 15, 2014 | post #25)

Transgender Rights: Repeal effort behind in valid signatures

I agree with that. I do the same as you. I live as a female so anywhere I go I am me. I have never had a problem shopping out of my town. Now in my town is rural and people are very backwards and ignorant. I shop a few miles out of my town and have no problem using the rest rooms or anything. People always address me as Ma'am or she or her, etc. So I wouldn't have a reason to yell or scream or whatever. I know people in my town talk about me but I'm old news now and as long as they just talk I could care less!  (Nov 15, 2014 | post #4)

Transgender Acceptance

I agree. More transgender people need to come out so they will be seen. I still think that there should be a federal law that protects us from abuse and our rights in general. We need to catch up with the gay movement here in the US.  (Jan 6, 2014 | post #2)

Transgender Issues Follow Path Blazed By Gay Rights

Well, as a m-f pre-op transsexual I believe there should be a federal law protecting transgender people's rights and also protection from abuse as well. We need to catch up to the gay movement in the US. There needs to be more transgender people to come out and by just doing that will make us more visible.  (Jan 6, 2014 | post #23)
