What TOTV will not let you talk about

My comments about immigrants seems to be misunderstood. I gots some good friends who is immigrants and probly not legal ones. One couple lives by me, Miguel and his girlfriend in sin, Lucy. I am sure neither pays taxes but I know they both gets free food handouts. She is pretty quiet but Miguel gets aggressive at times but I cant understand them. I could talk to a gecko and get the same level of understanding. Dont get me wrong, I likes them both but they should just be legal and speak American if they lives here.  (Thursday Jun 12 | post #185)

Us small town folks likes the meaning of TeaParty people. They and us believes in true American vertues like free speech and by that I means we speak American and does not have to know immigrants language and to press 1 for English.  (Wednesday Jun 11 | post #162)

Are The Villages the best place to retire in Florida?

I keep wundering why them sinkholes keep on in the villages but doesnt bother us folk in Lady Lake. Must be all that fill dirt in them new areas over swampy land. Long as it doesnt bother CityFire or the drinking on lake sumter square, it doesnt bother me. I think all your bitchin at each other is funny and your comments by Villager2 and them right wing nuts and that bible phoney gal is laughinable.  (Apr 20, 2014 | post #421)

Look in the Thursday Daily Sun for all the activities. You can probably meet ladies at one of the garden clubs, volunteer at the hospital or gift shop, talk with people at the neighborhood pool, exchange your calling card with others, etc. Best of luck. You will find a lot of good friends.  (Apr 14, 2014 | post #409)

I see claims of villagers being kind to their servers and giving big tips. Try spending some money at local businesses in Lady Lake and Wildwood so us locals gets some more benefits of the villages. Some of the people I know that own businesses needs your money. I would too, if I worked but social security is good. I means a benefit more than drinking at your bars and going to Katie Bells which I really like to do.  (Apr 8, 2014 | post #13)

Houses are too expensive there and the people are rich snobs who doesnt spend their money in the outlaying towms. On the good side, they have cheap happy hours, good music on squares, free executive golf, and pools. You can always find a person in the villages to get you unlimited guest passes or can buy fake ID card.  (Feb 21, 2014 | post #372)

Obviously, just retired rich people live in The Villages. Us in the small towns around them just gets crumbs. They do not spend money in our diners but wants us to go to them. I do like the cheap and big drinks and the free country music at Spanish Springs and I got a guest pass that a buddy got for me so I can go to their pools.  (Feb 11, 2014 | post #366)

The Bill Nye -- Ken Ham Debate

Beats me as to why "Science Guy" would even appear at such a joke as The Creation Museum to give anyone the thought of the Earth being 6,000 years old even was something that even credible enough for an arguement. Well, even Bill Nye does strange things for a lot of money.  (Feb 6, 2014 | post #27)

Coca-Cola Super Bowl ad

What the heck is going on? America The Beautiful being sang in foreign languages? It is an American song and is meant to be sang in American. The kids in the ad were all foreign, too. Why couldnt they have used American kids for an American song?  (Feb 6, 2014 | post #1)
