Home Robbery

You are safe and that is what matters. If you were home you might not be alive today. So be thankful that it is only possessions that are missing. As far as the probability of the hitting again is very slim. Not to be course but, they have already taken your belongings. Hopefully this will not happen again in your neighborhood. Personally I would try to form a neighborhood watch. Maybe that will help give everyone piece of mind. Be strong, don't allow them to take your since of security.  (Oct 26, 2011 | post #2)

Hotel/motel tax would fund parking deck

Last I heard the tax to fund the new conference center and the parking deck was based on a 60-75% occupancy. After speaking with several hotel owners and managers on average the hotels are staying booked 40%. So where is this other money coming from. Also, Church street is not equiped to handle 500 cars traveling on it at one time. The location of the new conference center and the parking deck is horrible. Can you imagine trying to go to Gumbeaux, Fabiano's or any other establishment while construction is going on or while a large event is happening at The New Conference Center.  (Feb 13, 2011 | post #27)

Sweet Teresa

Lisa Fabio (owner of Sweet Teresa's_ was a dear friend. She closed her shop on May 15. Due to the stress, hours and time it took away from her family. Lisa was talking about going in with Eva at Eva's Bakery on Douglas Blvd. They never had a chance to finish the merger before she passed away on September 11, 2010 from a brain aneurysm. Lisa will be truly missed.  (Nov 27, 2010 | post #17)

Det. Marcus Pounds in trouble

Reread the post. Wren was talking about the girl being 15 years old, not Marcus having 15 years of service. And, yes the 15 was still a mistake the girl was 17 years old.  (Jun 28, 2010 | post #21)
