Watch what you say on your DOT physical

There really are none the sleep study needs to be done before they can figure out how to treat the issue. treatment can be as something as simple as a C-PaP to requiring surgery to help fix the issue.  (Sunday Apr 6 | post #173)

What companies will hire Felony Truck Drivers

What is the felony for? how old is it? I would suggest looking at small local companies that do in house hiring. companies like those usually over look some felonies in order to hire good help. try Moving companies, trash companies, lumber companies, places that do crane rentals who need drivers to help deliver and set up the big cranes. the pay may not be top end but the hours usually are good.  (Nov 26, 2013 | post #204)

Free Training for your CDL

Nov 19, 2007 There is no such thing as free training, if a company tells you that training is free they are lying. most all companies will require at least an 18 and up to 24 months of a contract. you will also run at whatever the company minimum hauling rate for the whole time. after your "free training" you will run with a trainer from anywhere from 6 to 24 weeks at the rate of 350 to 400 a week gross, then depending on when the trainer says you are ready he will cut you loose. and so you know this time with the trainer is not covered under your contract, your contract will start when the trainer releases you to run on your own. here is the kicker, and pay real close attn. if you fail school or get fired before the contract is up you will be held liable for the full amount of whatever the school charges for training. school charges can go from $3,000 up to $8,000 and even $10,000 dollars.  (Nov 22, 2013 | post #226)

What companies will hire Felony Truck Drivers

The only thing that deserves a reply is the part about second chances. everyone does deserve a second chance, BUT the reality in the trucking industry is bonding. MOST not all but MOST medium and long haul trucking companies require to be bonded as condition of employment. if you are a repeat offender most insurance companies will NOT bond you. that is not my opinion that is a fact. if you want to work for a company that runs in and out of the ports or rail yards, you will need to get a TWIK card. if you have multiple felonies, you will not get one. if you try to go to work for a company that hauls military contracts multiple felonies will disqualify you. the old days of a "company " hiring you is over, insurance companies are the ones that have final say if you get hired. like it or not that is the reality of trucking. repeat offenders stand a very slim chance of getting on with a national company like Prime, Swift, JB Hunt, Schneider National. BUT if you read what I posted early on to try smaller companies, like trash companies, mom and pop moving companies, dump truck and construction companies, small package delivery companies, and logging companies, companies that do their hiring in house.  (Oct 13, 2013 | post #197)

I would guess the prosecuter could be challenging the lack of sentence, convicted on 3 counts including attemped murder in the second degree and doesn't get anything? I'll keep looking and see if I can find the actual reasoning.  (Sep 3, 2013 | post #366)

What companies will hire Felony Truck Drivers

Not judging anyone just stating the reality of some offenders. no where in what I said is judging anyone. a repeat offender is likly to repeat it has been proven over and over again. do people turn their lives around after a conviction? sure some do. most trucking companies have their drivers bonded especially those who haul electronics and high value items. the old days of a recruiter hiring you for a large company are all but gone. now it all gets sent to the insurance company, and they make the final ruling on if they will insure you as a driver or not. But if you read the other posts I have made in this topic you will see where I have offered suggestions on where they could possibly try to find work as a driver.  (Jul 9, 2013 | post #171)
