Placenta photo gets Kan. nursing students expelled

Like you said the teacher was asked about it, and absolutely not was not the answer. Now they say they can reapply later on, at a exorbitant cost. So why not a triple standard?  (Jan 2, 2011 | post #3)

a visit to alaska

You can find out about the ferry system through the internet as far as prices and places. They probably have information on requirements for weapons also. Just Google Alaska Ferry and you will find that information. I was going to write you personally instead of posting where everyone can see, but I do not think you are registered so...I hope you did not read Into the Wild and a few Kerowack books and thought it would be nice to life off the land in Alaska. Camping in Northern Missouri is a cake walk compared to making it out alive in Alaska, I know I homesteaded here in the 60's and I have been deep backwoods in southern Missouri, and I will take Missouri any day. You did not say when you were coming up, I also hope you come in the summer, it is very hard to survive in the bush in the winter. Bush living is very expensive also, subsistence living is not easy, game is not as prevalent as it used to be, even the fish are tough to figure out. The other essentials are very expensive as they have to be shipped in. Of those places you said Valdez is the smallest and easiest to get away in. But just like the lower 48 most land is spoken for. Just give it allot of thought, I am not trying to be a smart ass, and hell you could be Johonny fucken Crocket for all I know. I am just saying that allot of people come up here half cocked and go back in a bag. I hope you are not one of them! http://www.flickr. com/photos/2541941 2@N03/ akd200@gmail.com  (Nov 30, 2010 | post #2)

Dave Works Way from Alaska to Washington State

Typical mass media hype going on here. Lets see says the job interviewer, you are CBS's national weatherman, and you need a job till the air ambiance calls and you can ride a Lear jet to Seattle...Now pick some guy out of the unemployment line and do it again, it would be a three year segment.  (Nov 19, 2010 | post #2)

Ted Danson testifies in Alaska at drilling hearing

I may agree with what Ted thinks about this but, even a monkey can act, so why he is more credible about any subject opposed to the guy next to me on the bus is a wonder to me!  (Nov 11, 2010 | post #2)

So where do candidates go from here?

I see you are commenting from another state; speaking of another state that was the problem, had not Sarah Palin's lock step cronies dumped tons of money into the election, and basically sideswiping Lisa's war plan, I think Lisa would have shook the guys hand and that would have been it. She realized the constituents view was not served by the outside influence and as the Marine motto says "improvised, adapted, and overcame. Frankly the overwhelming outcome from the voters (and this is what it should be about) should stop the presses as far as I am concerned. I have never voted Republican in my life, but to have this cult of "baggers " come up here and railroad a Senate election could not be allowed. If you are not from here, here is a inside hint, most Alaskans do not like, and think Sara is a joke. Why the Tea Party adopted her, to me is as confusing as why she was picked to be VP. But the Tea Party agenda of putting up idiots (I am not a witch, and have no idea what the 1st amendment is about) (And Joe Miller) will not serve America well. Just like the history books are being rewritten about the Bush Presidency. I think the present Tea Party will the the antithesis of the original concept.  (Nov 9, 2010 | post #3)

Who do you support for U.S. Senate in Alaska in 2010?

I am not happy with any of them, but this vote for Lisa at least shuts Sara Palen up!  (Oct 14, 2010 | post #2)

Did the CIA Use GCI Corporation to Murder Ted Stevens?

Once again and I will type slow so you can keep up. THERE IS NO GCI, Reston. There is a Gci, Reston, (Note the last two letters are not in caps like in the Alaska based company) it is two separate companies, yes Gci seems very elusive, but that does not mean that it had anything to do with Uncle Ted's death, WHICH IS WHAT THIS THREAD IS ABOUT. If you want to talk about CIA companies in Reston fine lets start a different thread. Do not drink the bong water either!  (Sep 4, 2010 | post #10)

Did the CIA Use GCI Corporation to Murder Ted Stevens?

Beside the fact that nothing would be gained by assassinating frank murkowski in the first place you conspiracy theory guys, need to move up here to Alaska and see the company for yourself. At&t started out as at&t alascom, then went to At&t. They are competitors:1984 GCI files anti-trust lawsuit against Alascom for conspiracy to monopolize the Alaska marketAlascom, Inc. d/b/a AT&T Alascom is an Alaskan telecommunications company; specifically, an interexchange carrier (IXC). AT&T Alascom is currently a wholly owned subsidiary of AT&T. AT&T Alascom, previously known as Alascom and many other names, was the first long-distance telephone company in Alaska. AT&T Alascom has extensive telecommunications infrastructure in Alaska, including three satellites, undersea and terrestrial cables containing optical fiber, and numerous earth stations. Unlike most of the United States, AT&T had no role in Alaskan telecommunications as a local or long distance telephone provider until the purchase of Alascom in 1995. Alaska was also never served by any of the Regional Bell Operating Companies. Alascom and GCI have been the two primary competitors for long-distance telephone service in Alaska since GCI's founding in 1979.  (Sep 3, 2010 | post #5)
