Supreme Court extends gay marriage nationwide

You're incorrect. You, not I, are the loser. You judge those who don't agree with you, coming to dishonest, false conclusions because you prefer lies to truth if it accommodates your cause. As for "hating gays", I hate no one, not even those such as you. Hate is a vile emotion, one I don't care to harbor, as do you. Hating is your way of life, apparently. I respect anyone deserving of respect and have friends who are gay. I don't agree with their sexual orientation but I care about them. Learn to base your conclusions on facts, not hate.  (11 hrs ago | post #399)

You are correct. History has been distorted and often deleted to accommodate those who don't wish to acknowledge our real history; but that facts remain. Most today are very ignorant of history, preferring to believe the pc version.  (11 hrs ago | post #398)

I, being half-Indian (mother, Indian; father, white), do know something of the history of the American Indians. I am definitely saying that various Indian tribes often were at war with each other, killing and torturing each other; and crucifixion was not an uncommon method of killing. (Did you not learn any history of this country in elementary school?) As for indentured servitude, those so unfortunate as to be in this position were often abused and had no rights, much like the slaves. A history lesson: ‘Indentured servitude was developed by the Virginia Company in the early 1600s to supply cheap labor to early American settlers who needed help caring for their large land plots. Somewhere between one-half and two-thirds of European immigrants to America worked as indentured servants to afford the trip overseas. Both adults and children worked as indentured servants. An indentured servant’s work contract could be extended for bad behavior such as getting pregnant, even if she got pregnant from her master, or running away. Whipping was another common punishment. Indentured servants were prohibited from getting married or having children until they earned their freedom. Many indentured servants died from hard work or disease, and many others ran away.” Perhaps you’ve heard of Olive Oatman, who was a captive of the Mohave Indians? An Indian woman from another tribe was also a captive and a friend of Olive’s. The Indian woman tried to escape and was crucified as punishment, and Olive was forced to watch. This is a well-known fact.  (12 hrs ago | post #395)

I replied to you before on this. Since you are clearly to dense to understand what you read or suffer from a short term memory problem, here it is again: ".. you are too arrogant to ignore. Regarding the Natives mentioned: they were not hunted down like game animals, etc. but, rather, they hunted down each other and whites, killing them in the most atrocious manners, including crucifixion. Obviously you learned little about history in school. Regarding your other snide, ignorant remarks: blacks were not the only slaves in America, for there were many white indentured servants (slaves). As for the remainder, I am not inclined to waste more words responding to your belligerent remarks." A question: Why is it that your kind is always pretending to be liberal minded and your opposition the opposite when, in fact, you are the bigoted ones who are full of so much hate for those who oppose the practice of homosexuality that you cannot speak without hatred spewing from your mouths? Why pretend you want equal rights while trying to deny those rights to your opposition?  (17 hrs ago | post #391)

No dimwit such as you will tell me what to do. I am an American who cares what happens to our nation whereas your kind is part of the reason America has deteriorated to its present stage. As for intelligent adults, ,one who speaks such drivel as you do should never talk down to others.  (Saturday Jun 27 | post #214)

I usually don't respond to a filthy mouthed person such as you, but you are too arrogant to ignore. Obviously you don't really mean it when you put “equality for ALL means ALL” under your user name. Don't we Christians have the same rights as you?  (Friday Jun 26 | post #75)

You are misinformed. Before telling me what I should read, you should have first gotten correct information. I suggest you read the following: In 1930, a Dutch scholar, Dr. C.Snouk Hurgronje, located the only surviving Arabic copy of the treaty and found that when translated, Article XI was actually a letter, mostly gibberish, from the Bey of Algiers to the ruler of Tripoli. When the Treaty was translated by Joel Barlow, the American Ambassador, he mistakenly included the Bey’s letter, labeling it article 11. Article 11 was not in the original treaty and is therefore an error. __________________ _____________ Authored by American diplomat Joel Barlow in 1796, the following treaty was sent to the floor of the Senate, June 7, 1797, where it was read aloud in its entirety and unanimously approved. John Adams, having seen the treaty, signed it and proudly proclaimed it to the Nation. __________________ __________________ ____ Annals of Congress, 5th Congress………. Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries. As was proven, the Treaty of Tripoli did not state the United States is not founded on the Christian religion. Barlow was a bumbler who did a poor job of translation. This country was founded by Christians, our laws based on the Bible, and our Founding Fathers declared it so.  (Friday Jun 26 | post #53)

Have you nothing better to say than a childish retort? Intelligent adults don't resort to ridiculous name-calling.  (Friday Jun 26 | post #3)

The Supreme Court has gone too far in legalizing gay marriage. Our nation was already in a deplorable moral condition due to the acceptance of gross immoralities, such as abortion, and now the legalization of gay marriage. America was once a godly nation, one that recognized our Creator; but when we made it unlawful to mention God and the Bible in our educational system, etc., we began our downward trend. We now are a nation similar to Sodom and Gomorrah, deserving of the judgement of God. America was the greatest nation ever to exist, the greatest symbol of hope and freedom ever known; but we are no longer that. There is little hope our nation will ever become the great nation it used to be. When a nation deserts God, as we have, it soon falls. We have clearly become a nation of fools.  (Friday Jun 26 | post #1)

Ted Cruz for President?

It's not for me to tell you how to feel about another person, but I feel common courtesy and respectful treatment is not too much to expect towards fellow Americans.  (Apr 2, 2015 | post #36)

Ted Cruz for President?

That's an awful thing to say. He has as much right as any of us to state his opinion, no matter how much we may disagree.  (Apr 1, 2015 | post #34)
