This is not in dispute: “La Raza is the number one Spanish-language newspaper in Chicago with an audited circulation 186,012 according to Certified Audit Circulation (June 30, 2005). It is also among the largest Sunday Hispanic newspapers in the United States. La Raza has been recognized by the National Association of Hispanic Publications as the "Best Spanish Language Weekly" five times over the past decade and was named by Editor & Publisher as one of "Ten That Do It Right." It is owned by ImpreMedia LLC. What is in dispute is this: “It is not affiliated with a political group by a similar name.” Anyone with an ounce of sense will never believe this. “La Raza”. The Race. La Raza Motto: For the race everything, outside the race nothing”. The name and motto alone tells me that it is a racist publication. Are you trying to tell me that La Raza (NCLR) does not support the newspaper? Show me where the newspaper is not connected in someway with NCLR. Now do your research and show me a disclaimer, show me where there is not a member of NCLR somewhere contributing something to the newspaper where Fox Chicago gets their information. ”This is another example of the internet spreading false and misleading information.” I do not appreciate being called a liar. Here is the reality. The majority of the people in the US want immigration reform. The majority of the people in the US want the laws enforced not only against the illegal aliens but also against the companies that hire them. The majority of the people in the US want a secure boarder south and north and not just a virtual fence like George Qusling Bush has said he thought he heard the people say. I was in Germany when the Berlin wall was built. I saw the people trying to escape. Unfortunately none of this is going to happen. Big business, which owns and operates the Federal Government, wants cheap labor to increase their profits. And will go to whatever extremes to get it. Plan prepared for Cuban exodus WASHINGTON - Concerned about a possible mass exodus of Cubans, the Department of Defense plans to spend $18 million to prepare part of the U.S. Navy base at Guantánamo Bay to shelter interdicted migrants, U.S. officials told The Miami Herald. The new installation is needed because terrorism suspects occupy space on the base used in past emergencies to hold large numbers of migrants, Bush administration officials directly involved said. They note that the facilities are designed to house people from any Caribbean nation who attempt to enter illegally -- not just Cubans. Andy Gomez, senior fellow at the University of Miami's Institute for Cuban and Cuban-American Studies, says focus groups and other interviews show many young Cubans are eager to leave. ''If the economic conditions do not get better, there is the strong possibility that as many as 500,000 Cubans will want to leave the island in all directions,'' he says. ``The other possibility will also be a large group of Cubans rushing the U.S. base in Guantánamo or foreign embassies in Havana.'' Latin American countries may be reluctant to take in numerous migrants, he added.
