SEARS TO HOST COMMUNITY SERVICE EXTRAVAGANZA
Family Event to Help Local Organizations Raise Awareness for Programs, Community Service Efforts WHAT: Bringing families and organizations together, Sears and local marketing firm, Unity Concepts, will host a city-wide public service fair to help support local civic organizations and educate residents on the different causes within their community. Among the area organizations participating in the event are: Horse Rescue, Child Protection Education of America (CPEA), Toys 4 Cops, Life South Blood Bank, Cheek and Scott Drugs, Vivid Visions and the Suwannee County Animal Shelter. In addition to providing free hot dogs, cotton candy and soft drinks for attendees, Sears will host live entertainment and karaoke throughout the community extravaganza. Continuing a long-standing tradition of giving back to its local communities, Boston’s The Gourmet Pizza kicks off its annual Valentine’s fundraiser benefiting Children’s Miracle Network, a national non-profit organization comprised of 170 children’s hospitals (CMN), on January 28. For the event, the Sioux Falls restaurant will feature two unique giving opportunities designed to raise funds that will be donated directly to Sanford Health. From February 14 through February 17, Boston’s will sell its popular, one-of-a-kind heart-shaped pizzas and donate $1 from every pie sold to Sanford Health.
