What Is Dirty Coal

Coal advocates are pushing for the construction of more than 150 conventional coal-fired power plants across the United States. Yet coal has caused more widespread damage to our health and environment than any other energy source. Coal is the single largest source of global warming and mercury pollution. Coal mining destroys millions of acres of land and pollutes or destroys thousands of miles of streams. Coal plant emissions trigger asthma attacks in children and are linked to respiratory diseases that cripple and kill. Investing in dirty coal technologies to meet our energy needs commits our children and grandchildren to decades of environmental damage and disease. It is the most backward, dirty and costly path to choose. US has merged Linc Energy to overcome this problem. For More Info: lincenergy.us  (Feb 26, 2009 | post #1)

Is America Ready to Quit Coal?

When we say coal is "dirty", its more than the soot on your fingers when you pick up a briquette to put in your barbeque. When coal is burned in power plants and factories, the smoke released into the atmosphere is just as dirty. Since the Industrial Revolution, public outcry over acid raid, smog, and global climate change has forced coal producers to consider the cleanliness of the energy source. America is the country that looking forward to accept such technology to overcome their economic debacle. For More Info: lincenergy.us  (Feb 25, 2009 | post #165)

Is America Ready to Quit Coal?

Clean coal technology is the term used to describe technologies being developed that aim to reduce the environmental impact of coal energy generation. These include chemically washing minerals and impurities from the coal, gasification, treating the flue gases with steam to remove sulfur dioxide, carbon capture and storage technologies to capture the carbon dioxide from the flue gas and dewatering lower rank coals. Coal, which is primarily used for the generation of electricity, is the second largest domestic contributor to carbon dioxide emissions in the USA. By knowing all these why Obama is going to quit coal from Us. For More Info: lincenergy.us  (Feb 24, 2009 | post #156)

Should evolution be taught in high school?

I think we have to teach them by introducing chapters for evolution. We are in the globalised world and every student have to get knowledge on such things. They have to be taught on linc energy also. lincenergy.us  (Feb 11, 2009 | post #24349)
