Suffolk mothers talk about their sons' addictions to hero...

I have a 15 Year Old daughter, I talk to her openly about drugs and sex as much as I can. We watch intervention together and TALK about it. I am open and honest with her about experiences I have had with kids I knew who used drugs when I was her age. I am hoping that when the time comes, and I know it someday will that she is offered drugs, or alcohol, or is sexually active she will be comfortable enough to talk to me about it. I wish I had this relationship with my mother when I was a teenager. AND let me tell you she does TELL me some stories about the kids in school.  (Nov 7, 2008 | post #13)

Meet Madonna's replacement: Kelly Reilly

This is news? But I have to say Madonna, your old and washed up. You look more like a man every time I see your yoga defined body, and your recently acquired British accent is annoying.  (Oct 24, 2008 | post #11)

Poll: 1 in 3 worried about losing their job

I do agree the school taxes is hurting New Yorkers (long islanders). I am not so much fearful of loosing my job (or my husbands job) and we have been fortunate enough to save a years worth of living expenses in our savings account. I do see our 401K dropping a lot, that worries me. Also my daughters college fund is not making as much money as we hoped (interest rates). All in all though I think we are in better shape that most because we ALWAYS lived with in our means.  (Oct 21, 2008 | post #10)

Outlet mall opens in Deer Park

First of all this opens alot of much needed employment for the Deer Park/ Wyandanch area. If you people don't want to shop there then DON'T! as for the Traffic, I have worked on Grand Blvd for 15 years now it has ALWAYS been congested, the new street lights and paved roads is refreshing. These new outlets are a stone throw from my job (2 hour lunch comes in handy).  (Oct 20, 2008 | post #45)

Joe the Plumber's story has sprang a few leaks

Okay first off No one is "viciously " attacking Joe The Plumber. He asked a question and he got an answer. Hey either candidate can not be good for EVERYONE!! and seriously Joe if you are making over 250,000 as a plumber in Ohio, you are probably not all that innocent if you know what I mean. (cash deal???)  (Oct 17, 2008 | post #14)
