While there are indeed some outstanding teachers in Del Rio, there are some who are waiting for the magic number for retirement as well. There are also great educational practices in Del Rio and there are some extremely poor practices (specifically the rampant overuse of worksheets. A comment was made about the APA recommendation of only 2 hours/week in front of any form of electronics. There is much research available on educational best practices. (Just Google research on use of worksheets in the classroom.) Docents on duty around Ohio venues learn to teach
