The first stop of this Tour will be Thursday night at ArkLaTex Speedway in Vivian, LA, then to Fast Trax for a Friday night show before going to Monticello Arkansas on Saturday. The final show of this tour will be Sunday at Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, LA. Quitmans Lee Patton was last Friday's Feature winner, finised 3rd the week before at the Doug Murphrey Memorial (from an 18th starting position) with a total of 68 Modifieds trying to place well. Racing

doesnt have to be an all out "race car" to race at Twin City. There is a "Street" class for those who may be tired of getting tickets for racing on the street. Drive it to the track, race it and drive it home! I've done that several times, so have alot of people from Jackson Parish.  (Apr 12, 2009 | post #15)

cancer

You have not only a heart touching story, but more importanly a soul touching story! Just trying to imagine myself in your position not only brought tears to my eyes, but I suddenly found myself sitting here at my desk praying for you. I lost my grandfather 4 years ago to prostate cancer and can give you my point of view as a family member in the position of your family... It is a shock at first to learn someone you love will soon be with you no longer, then there is the relative state of "denial" where they just don't believe this is actually happening. Then comes the feelings of pain as they come to terms with reality, but try so hard to be strong and hide their true feelings from you because they don't want you to know they are hurting inside and are putting all they possibly can of themselves into being strong for your sake. It's an endless cycle of denial, fear, strength and tears. But the one thing that binds it all together is the never ending love that they hold deep within their souls for you. I will keep you and your family in my prayers, and hope that you can also find faith at this time that will bring you to a more peaceful state and allow you to make clear, heartfelt and blessed decisions in these trying times. Much love and many prayers!  (Mar 3, 2009 | post #20)

What's going on with that building by WilMart?

The building across the road from Wil-Mart (the old "T-Inn") is now privatly owned and has been turned into a home. The building next to Wil-Mart (old Kelly's Kitchen) is vacant and according to property owner will remain that way unless someone is willing to rent with the added expense of undating. Wil-Mart is still open for business and offers a wide variety of Frozen drinks, as well as all your favorite liquors, beer and other alcoholic beverages. Monday thru Thursday 9am to 10pm Friday and Saturday 9am to midnight!!!  (Mar 3, 2009 | post #4)

Outside Looking In is a female, but does that really matter? All she did was state her opinion of someone. Just curious as to what would make the opinion any different if it had been stated from a male?  (Jan 26, 2009 | post #114)

Ex-Monroe Speedway general manager to operate dirt track in Cha...

There is NO LEASE on the Chatham track. The track owners stated Smith is renting the track on a monthly basis. Changed to Friday night racing, and many of the drivers will not be able to race due to work schedules. Hope it works out for him, but not looking good.  (Jan 25, 2009 | post #3)

Mcdonalds Drive Thru

Just an opinion from someone who works two jobs ( both dealing with the public).... Being a mother and grandmother I know how "rude" the younger generation can be at times, but none the less many people don't seem to actually "care" for their jobs anymore. I over heard an employee at a fast food stop say one day that she was looking for a job when she found that one and she was sure she could find another one. I am not blaming the customers, but I think more responsibility should be placed on management to ensure that no matter how much the workers are making an hour that they ENJOY their jobs. This makes for a better work place for the employees, management and most importantly for the customers.  (Jan 24, 2009 | post #38)

What's going on with that building by WilMart?

Which building are you referring to? The old T-Inn building across the Hwy from Wil-Mart? Or the old Kelly's Kitchen building right beside Wil-Mart?  (Jan 24, 2009 | post #2)
