Economy is Soaring

Good. well stated. Many apparently don't grasp the "minimum work" threshold, Liken it to the “other side” not grasping what minimum wage is. Business is in the business of survival. Past that, societal norms and constraints are used to drive the business. Many times these societal impulses arrive unwelcome and unheeded. Add a sometimes burdensome government to the mix and business may or may not progress. As to Trump (and his policies0 creating jobs- show me! Sure many new, low paying jobs are attaching to the workforce because – guess what? It is summer! Hoe many of these new workers are willing to work in the fields? How many are willing to work from dark to dark bent over picking things? How many are willing to become janitors or garbage collectors? The list of “how may will . . .” is long and boring. Where are the real commitments, such as building factories, that relate to good paying, higher level production jobs? They are not coming, that is where they are. Tramp can’t even fill his cabinet and high level government offices, what would make someone think he could affect job growth of decent jobs?  (Tuesday Jun 13 | post #9)

The rich walk- one more Tays

Another Tays in the court system- why no news story? MONEY Craig Tays- busted last December for drugs and crashing into a restaurant (no insurance and expired license) finally has a "pre-trial " What a joke. He probably won't show up and his lawyer Jeff Van Keulen (real name) will cut a deal with the D,A, (Craig will roll on a few customers) Money and rolling from a known dealer = no jail time. People wonder why drug trafficking is so rampant. Judge Newton will hem and haw and agree. Sickening.  (Feb 28, 2016 | post #1)

Michael and Raquel Morris

There is NO expectation of privacy from a public person. Post on a forum and guess what? You are a public person! Deer mouse? Interesting.  (Jan 19, 2015 | post #68)

Who here remembers judge Bradley?

thought to have drunkenly fallen from a boat at Elephant Butte and drowned. Don't buy it. Was murdered to keep him quiet during the Frank Carr trails and Grand Jury. Bradley was a hard ass. Had a song written about him :) He knew lots of dirt relating to child molestations. the Blind school and Frank Carr. Was set to testify when he 'accidently' died.  (Jan 19, 2015 | post #4)

State Dept under Kerry rein

Great thing about the Internet and virtual reporting, eventually the ludicrous nature of much of government will become humiliated to the degree it will change. Hope the change is for the good.  (Sep 2, 2013 | post #4)

Judge Brogan retiring?

LLS- 'crimes?' Haven't seen any posts relating to specifics on this. "heard" the court people liked him and lawyers thought he was OK. So much for rumors-  (Aug 20, 2013 | post #45)

Riots

WTF is this? The Aussie PM made the word infamous, now Alamo has a new term for the 'fashion police' :P  (Jul 16, 2013 | post #18)

Judge Brogan retiring?

Nasty politics- "if" the DA helped the judge leave for her own gain- don't forget. Punish her at the polls. He was a elected against a Richardson appointee(?), favored his lawyer buddies (few though they are) and for some reason crossed Martwick- The DA's office is certainly not a paragon of justice and efficiency. Seems to me Martinez and Martwick have a "good-ol-girl " appointment in mind.  (May 29, 2013 | post #17)

VP Debate

Ryan should have pumped a bit mopre iron- clearly over matched. the Old Guy whacked his butt. Too many campaign slogans for Ryan, he should practice being present instead of yesterday.  (Oct 12, 2012 | post #25)

Former finance director's suit takes aim at city, ex-manager

Hopefully this guy gets justice. The "quid-pro-quo " of alamo/Otero county has gone on for more than a century. Rardin is just one of many. Surprised Grggs escaped without getting caught. Always was slick  (Oct 12, 2012 | post #1)

Citizen asks for Josh Rardin recall

OK, so Rardin learns the hard way some of the Alamo politics- Griggs routinely manipulated real estate through the city while commissioner/mayor and Rardin was too thick to go along this time. Rardin comes from a family that has done the same and should know better. Griggs, however, is a crafty player and has the same backers as the Sec. State (Diana Durn from Alamogordo) All in house politics.  (Jun 16, 2012 | post #7)

Who or what is Barf Moore and what is her problem?

MMM, another 'defender.' Steve called "it." In Alamo anyone with connections can plead anything on a plea down. Get real people. DWI/DUI affect insurance $$$, the others barely do. why not plea to a 'no counter.'  (Jun 16, 2012 | post #130)
