To shovel or not to shovel? - Sentinel & Enterprise

Even when you attempt to keep the sidewalk clear the street plows dump it in again and its hard as a rock. THEN try to shovel it out! My property line ends before the city sidewalk so I will keep the sidewalk from my front door to the city's sidewalk clear. That is my responsibility and according to my insurance company, theirs as well. A slip and fall on city property (their sidewalk) is the city's responsibility. As such they should keep their sidewalks clear. All that said, Leominster does do a decent job of keeping the sidewalks on the main streets clear.  (Jan 5, 2011 | post #2)

Airport board wants answers - Sentinel & Enterprise

Just close it down and sell off the property. Don't the taxpayers in Fitchburg get tired of funding an airport that most of them have never been into? Plus it seems every year or so one of the planes goes down and if lucky only kills those on board, if not then it goes into a building or house! No airport, no problem! Plane owners can move their junk to Sterling airport!  (Dec 31, 2010 | post #4)

Snow postpones Giants-Vikings game - Sentinel & Enterprise

The criminal tht steals your gold is really going to give his real name and address, right? Won't deter thefts but will let the authorities track where every ounce of gold is within the city!  (Dec 12, 2010 | post #3)

Fitchburg school officials OK anti-bullying policy - Sent...

Bad as it sounds we are raising a generation of wimps that rely on a "law" to protect them. For eons there have been bullies. Those being bullied either got gonads emough to handle the situation or learned to live with being bullied. What are these kids going to do when they get out of school and into the real world where bullying is part of life. And the parents aren't much better for not taking care of the situation rather than pushing it off onto the school system. Its called personal responsibility!  (Dec 7, 2010 | post #2)

Questions 1, 3 bad medicine for state - Sentinel & Enterp...

We pay to use these facilities. They are not free, at least to the working people in the area. Now the welfare freeloaders thats a different story. And its those that support the freeloaders that are crying to keep the taxes. I will vote to repeal both taxes and so should everyone that wants to keep their hard earned paychecks. Of course the state senate will never allow it to come into effect if it is passed anyway. Since when do they listen to those that voted them into office?  (Oct 30, 2010 | post #2)

Woman hit by car at school - Sentinel & Enterprise

Victim was kneeling, the driver gabbing on her cell phone. Classic example of stupid on both sides! As for crossing guards, we have cops that can be crossing guards. Keeps their fat **** out of the doughnut shops and the tax payers don't have to foot the extra salaries of a bunch of un-trained senile crossing guards that can't even see the sides of the street when they are in the middle of it to "protect " the children.  (Sep 3, 2010 | post #3)

Candidates speak out on taxes, economy, education at foru...

Don't vote for any of them. They are either criminals now or will be soon after taking office. Seems like there are no politicians anymore that are really doing the jobs that they were elected to do. Most are in it for the power trip and to hell with what the voters want!  (Sep 3, 2010 | post #2)

Foreclosures adding to area's abandoned animals epidemic ...

Its a shame though that the shelters want $200 or more to adopt a pet. That keeps many well meaning people from adopting an animal. I know it takes funds to operate the facility but when a person cannot afford to adopt then the animal stays there longer and costs more.  (Sep 3, 2010 | post #3)

School worker resigns in Facebook flap - Sentinel & Enter...

I have to agree with her. Most of the residents in that area think their sh** doesn't stink. Not all mind you, but a great number. Snobs is a gentle way of saying it. But, on the other hand, if she doesn't like it there then find employment elsewhere!  (Aug 19, 2010 | post #1)

No dirty dancing allowed - Sentinel & Enterprise

I believe in what they are trying to do in principal BUT, who decides what is "dirty dancing"? Some **** may think the waltz is porographic and ban that too. And, although I do not personally care for some of the dance styles, what may offend me may not offend someone else. Who makes that sistinction?  (Aug 18, 2010 | post #12)

Leominster to get bids on road paving projects - Sentinel...

I think their priorities are all **** up. There are many streets in Leominster that are in much worse condition and are more heavily traveled. Wonder what method they use to determine the priority. Is it $$ in a pocket?  (Aug 13, 2010 | post #1)

Leominster delays vote on city-vehicle use - Sentinel & E...

If they want to drive it home at night then make them responsible for maintenance and fuel. Do it be deducting a per mile charge from their paychecks. Bet they would find a different way to commute then. The reasoning about being able to respond faster in an emergency is BS too. Civilian vehicles still operate in emergencies!  (Aug 10, 2010 | post #11)

Cops: Illegals nabbed in drug bust - Sentinel & Enterprise

Bet they are back on the streets in a few days. They "notified ICE" so ICE will take them and then turn them loose! They should be deported, immediately, in shackles (or something a little more permanent).  (Aug 5, 2010 | post #25)

Discussion over grant assurances turns nasty - Sentinel &...

Like Fitchburg really needs an airport. Let some private company buy it and maintain it rather than put taxpayers money into something they never use. Plus you may need a bomb shelter to protect from falling planes!  (Aug 4, 2010 | post #5)
