I've used RollaNet for job searching and buying and selling various items. There are some good deals there, but also there are a few scammers you have to watch out for. I was contacted about an item I had for sale by a person calling himself Joel Bastian, e-mail address was jaybeemantion@hotm Do not deal with him. He wanted to send me a check for the sale price plus some extra funds. I was to deposit the check then wire the extra funds to the shipping company, then he would have the item picked up. This is almost word for word the same as the warning example posted on RollaNet concerning scams.  (Jan 12, 2013 | post #1)

Country mart sold my 12 year old son 60 containers of fro...

Parents are responsible for EVERYTHING their child does until that child moves out of the house. I'm getting really tired of people who are too stupid to reproduce blaming everyone else for their childs problems. YOU the parent are to blame.  (Jan 7, 2013 | post #557)

latest jobs report.

155K jobs? Any figures on how many people joined the workforce in that time? School grads, immigrants, etc. I'm betting it was more than 155K.  (Jan 6, 2013 | post #15)

Armed Teachers in Rolla School?

Only two of the fifty states do not allow concealed carry under any circumstance. It has been proven that where concealed carry is allowed, crime rates go down. The reason for this is not that there are more guns, but rather that the bad guys do not know who is armed and who isn't. Anywhere that you see "Gun Free Zone" signs, such as schools, malls, etc., it is a safe bet that the intended victims, law abiding citizens, will not be armed. This is the reason that these places are targeted by shooters. The solution is simple. Repeal the prohibition on CCW in schools and other such places, and for the love of God, take down the gun free/fish in a barrel signs. Do not have any uniformed guards or designated gun carriers who are known by everyone to be carrying. Do not encourage or require anyone to carry a gun who is not comfortable with it. Anyone who chooses to carry must keep their gun on their person and out of sight at all times. When the bad guys know their intended victims may have the means to fight back instead of cowering in the closet, they will think twice about their intentions.  (Jan 6, 2013 | post #140)

Dixon girl hurt in dog attack

"The young man took a shot at the dogs and injured one." Good for him. Dogs and other dangerous animals are about half the reason I got a CCW and carry almost all the time. In this part of the country, four legged attackers are more common than the two legged variety. "They told him that the person outside was one of their people and he should go outside and talk to them. So he did. The officer standing out there commanded him to step outside of his fence, which he did. Only to find a gun shoved in his face and he was arrested and taken to jail." NEVER EVER go outside or leave your property to talk to a cop. Once you do this they can take you to jail without charging you. Always demand to see a warrant for your arrest and what the charge is. (I'm not a lawyer, so don't depend on this advice, it's just my opinion)  (Feb 1, 2010 | post #14)
