I'm trying to make contact with Nora Cox. I lived next door to her on Blue Water Cresent in 1982. Her uncle was Bob "Bull Dog" Brown. If you know her please ask her to contact me at [email protected] m Thanks, Rick  (Dec 13, 2012 | post #1)

Riz Wallace, Bill Kelly?

I lived in Winnipeg most of 1982 and worked in music. I worked with and was friends with "Riz" Wallace. We worked with a band called Antares whose members were Scott, Dave, Jerry, and Steve. If you see/know Riz, ask him about being double booked in Flin Flon and the drive south down Easterville road back to Winnipeg. It was a once in a lifetime experience. We listened to "Put your hand in mine, we'll all pull the load, wondering down the winding dusty road." (Merry Go Round or Brother?) And "Cause it's the Second Time Around the Wood Pile so don't forget to be on time." We even got a stuck school bus out of a ditch at Moose Horn Beach. Then there were the little old ladies at the Truck Stop restaurant at the four-way stop who were extremely patient with the six of us. Like I mentioned it WAS a Riz also played bass in a band called "Those Guys" with Bill Kelly. Does Bill Kelly still run the Tam O' Shantor Scottish restaurant? Mark Wood was the premiere guitarist(imho)aro und Winnipeg back then. He was REALLY good. His band, Woodwork, played at the Norlander a lot. Is he still gun slinging that guitar? Is Jimmie O still doing lights? I had a great time living in Winnipeg for 9 months and it was one of the best periods of my still young life. I'd really like to reconnect with a few of these long lost friends. Maybe even visit in the near future... Thanks in advance, Rick  (Dec 13, 2012 | post #1)
