2 gang members convicted in Home Gardens attacks

Corona Boy, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.  (Sep 28, 2010 | post #150)

Being gay is not a choice. What if it were?

I decided to change my picture because everyone always assumed I was a guy. Kinda interesting really. Thanks for the hottie comment, coming from you and what I imagine your wife looks like, I'm very flattered. Don't ever feel bad for flirting. How sad would life be if we had to give up flirting after marriage. It's good for the soul.  (Apr 12, 2010 | post #10581)

You still see him that way? You don't know him so you're judging him on a preconceived notion. Speaking of judgingLooks like you just got twisted up in your own words. Practice what you preach sir.  (Apr 12, 2010 | post #10578)

'Christian terrorism' worrisome

Then what do you suggest we refer to them as? If a person commits acts of violence because he believes it's his job as a christian then... You know, those westboro nuts came to mind when I read this article. Plain and simple, if a person brings about harm to others because of their (albeit eccentric) christian beliefs, they are a christian terrorist. Does that mean every christian is a terrorist? NO! So choose to take it that way if you will, but I believe in calling a spade a spade. You can't expect a bible based religion to be full of kind loving people. Let's face it, even on topix the majority of "christians " are aggressive and rude. The bible is full of judgment. Jesus was really the only redeeming character in the whole book. No wonder so much hate is brought on by a book like that. Don't believe me? Show me a Taoist terrorist. They don't exist. It is almost impossible to find a christian who truly believes in love, peace, and equality for all. So yes, christian terrorism is very real and affects millions of Americans everyday. Whether they attack with bombs, picket soldiers funerals, or gay bash on topix, they're threatening the peace and advancement of this nation based on their estranged moral values. And that's a terrorist.  (Apr 12, 2010 | post #299)

Did you even read my post? You're only repeating what you've already said and I already explained to you that I really don't think he looks at sin and forgiveness the way you think he does. I think he probably tries, just like you, to live a life trying to avoid sin... He was only stating that as a Christian he believes in God's forgiveness.  (Apr 11, 2010 | post #10560)

Why Barack Obama Isn't Black

Because using race for personal gain is petty. I believe that with this situation to college scholarships based on race. It all feeds racism. He is just as much white as he is black. Period.  (Apr 11, 2010 | post #90)

Part 1 (Part 2 aboveBut it does sound like a whole lot of fancy word twisting, misconceptions, and Good ol fashioned bologna. Let's dissect shall weI don't recall at any point in LFC's post a statement about wanting to sin and saying "hey man it's cool, just ask the big guy forgiveness and we're all good!". If you were referring to the part of the post where he stated that he is human, and like all human's he is NOT free of sin, but when he does find himself acting in such a way that he knows is sinful he asks God for forgiveness. Now we all know God doesn't want us to sin, he would love to see us all as pure and nearly sinless as you Jantor, or shall I say Squeeky clean because it's Puns of Fun! ;) But God also know that free will is a tricky beast and sin is practically inevidable. Like all parents, he knows we will make mistakes... some even three or four times over. But also like any good parent, when we show the maturity to say, "I did wrong, I know it, and I'm sorry." that's what God wants from us. Ask forgiveness in your heart, and you will be forgiven right? I think that's all LFC was saying. "I'm not perfect, but when I'm not I'm big enough to say I'm sorry. To those I hurt and especially to God." What could be more Christian then that attitude?  (Apr 11, 2010 | post #10554)

ContinuedHonestly. .. i have no clue. I really didn't understand what you were trying to get across hereSo it seems to me that you feel like your relationship with God has made your life better. Better by helping you to feel more carefree, happy, and excited about life. It sounds like God gives you peace and comfort. Strength and assurance. Now, to me it sounds like LFC probably shares a similar relationship with the Lord. It makes him feel like there's more to life then punching a time clock. This statement, to me, says the same thing you just said, but with 23 less words. Yeah I countedLet's start off by throwing some definitions out here because I feel it's vital to the point I'm about to make. Hope- 1. A wish or desire accompanied by confident expectation of its fulfillment. 2. Something that is hoped for or desired: Success is our hope. 3. One that is a source of or reason for hope: the team's only hope for victory. 4. often Hope Christianity The theological virtue defined as the desire and search for a future good, difficult but not impossible to attain with God's help. 5. Archaic Trust; confidence. Faith- 1. Confident belief in the truth, value, or trustworthiness of a person, idea, or thing. 2. Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence. See Synonyms at belief, trust. 3. Loyalty to a person or thing; allegiance: keeping faith with one's supporters. 4. often Faith Christianity The theological virtue defined as secure belief in God and a trusting acceptance of God's will. 5. The body of dogma of a religion: the Muslim faith. 6. A set of principles or beliefs. These look pretty darn similar to me... would you agree? The point Janitor is simply this. Do not judge your fellow Christian man. First seek to understand him. Do this with compassion in your heart always. I think, had you done that with LFC here, you would see how much you have in common because of your strong relationships with the same Lord and savior. And remember, it is God's place to judge, and God's place alone. As a Christian it is your job to spread God's message, not do God's job. So as for my Amen to LFC's post, it still stands. Because Hope keeps us smiling, Faith keeps us strong, and though none of us can prove it, we believe there is more to life then meets the eye. Amen!  (Apr 11, 2010 | post #10553)
