Colts' Jake Scott headed to the Titans

Once again, lets see how he does now that he isn't in the system. He is a good player. Time will tell how good of a player he really is now.  (Mar 10, 2008 | post #1)

DE Brayton picks Panthers over Colts

BTW, I love watching the Patriots almost as much as I love watching the Colts. I am a fan of good ball play. Even in high school when an opposing team made a really great play I applauded. For the record, I believe the 2007-2008 Patriot players ARE the most talented team ever assembled. Do not confuse that with greatest because as we have seen over the years, talent does not equal greatness. With that being said, I still believe that the Colts and Patriots organizations as a whole are on the same level. I believe that they are equally talented with equally talented coaching staffs. Go through the past 10 years, take away a few plays here and there, and the Colts could be in the exact same position as the Pats. Unfortunately, (or fortunately for Pats fans) thats not how it played out. What really gets me though is when Pats fans come on these boards and have subpar football knowledge and think that they are the gods of football and that the Colts are a distant second.  (Mar 7, 2008 | post #77)

And FINALLY, we have a Patriots poster who thinks rationally. I looked up the issue of Peyton's mooning incident. Do you think this would have been a big issue had the girl thought it was funny. I have mooned several strangers who thought it was rather amusing. I definetly don't think this discredits him as a role model, especially if this is the only negative story on him. I think he used poor judgement, and happened to be unlucky enough to come across someone who didn't take kindly to his actions. Just as this whole "cheating/mis interpretation " scandal does not convince me that the Pats are "cheaters " in general. Both instances convince me that people make mistakes. And they should be punished accordingly. I just don't like being told that a team merely misinterpreted a rule, and then turn around and punish them as if it was something more. Kind of like running a stop sign and getting 25 to life. If there is nothing more to be discovered, I will gladly drop the whole thing. However, if there are more instances of cheating, what would you think a good penalty for the actions are. Let's say they are found to have a whole library of videotape, dating back 10 years. Do you think that this would be grounds for astericks, stripping of wins, or team suspensions? Since I think I have finally found a Pats fans who thinks rationally, I am interested in your opinions of proper punishment if more wrong doing is uncovered.  (Mar 7, 2008 | post #76)

If the girl wanted to pursue legal action, she was totally within her rights. Whatever amount of money she was offered to keep quiet was obviously more important than seeing justice served over a "scarring " event in her life.  (Mar 7, 2008 | post #75)

I find it quite odd that Patriots fans say it wasn't cheating but only a "misinterpret ation of the rules" I also find it quite odd that the Patriots organization ACCEPTED a 750,000 dollar fine and a loss of a first round draft pick without a fight. You'd think if it was such a small infraction, someone would have spoke out from the organization concerning the harshness of the penalty. Think of it this way. Carl Edwards just received a harsh fine from NASCAR for a missing cap on his car in his Daytona win. Everyone in the media and his team speaking out. 1. Why would you accept such a harsh punishment if it was just a simple misunderstanding and not cheating? 2. Why would the NFL levy such a harsh punishment if there wasn't something more. 3. Why was the evidence destroyed immediately if there was not competitive advantage to them. 4. Why does every quote about the evidence say "tapes" and not tape. I only seen one cameraman, and there was no way what he was recording in that one game took up more than one tape. I don't know, because I don't know the facts but it seems to me like there is much more to this story than anyone knows about.  (Mar 7, 2008 | post #72)

Moss sticks with Patriots

Haha What do you think about Big Ben's contract. He is a great QB, but the whole thing just doesn't feel right. 100 mill for what was it 8 years with 30 something guaranteed. Wow!!!!  (Mar 7, 2008 | post #76)

Ft. Wayne cops seize 6,000 pound of pot

1. How many people were in this study? 2. How many people never tried heroin, but are daily pot smokers? I could interview 10 people in New York who were addicted to heroin, and say it was a study. Even if you provide sources, this still proves nothing. In my opinion, there are probably hundreds of thousands if not millions of pot smokers that never go on to harder drugs.  (Mar 7, 2008 | post #103)

I find it interesting that every single Colts post turns into a Patriots fans jumping on here talking bad about the Colts without providing a shred of a worthwhile response. This will be my last response to you as well. Don't FEED THE TROLLS PEOPLE.  (Mar 7, 2008 | post #70)

I guess the Patriots must only be a "good" team, since they lost in the Superbowl. Take a look at Dallas and Green Bay. They both lost at home to a team they were supposed to beat. Does that not mean they had a great team? NO! That just means that things didn't play out. And the biggest of them all. The Patriots. Must not be a great team since they lost in the Superbowl. I mean...GREAT TEAMS WIN THOSE CLUTCH GAMES. It seems as if higher standards are being held for some and not for others.  (Mar 7, 2008 | post #67)
