San Juan County approves trash rule, delays acting on jun...

You ought to live next to those chicken houses. The noise from the fans running 24/7 and the smell. A putrid smell of manure and death. All less than 1000 ft. from my house. Where I'm at now, I get 4 cars a month go by and the land next to me is in CRP. So for now, I'm happy.  (Sep 17, 2010 | post #173)

I left the area to get away from the compressor noise. Mooved to the South. Then my neighbor built 45,000/chicken chicken houses. I left there to. Life is too short to smell manure or hear compressors run all the time.  (Sep 6, 2010 | post #170)

Aztec man rams two patrol cars; injures officer

We attended that church before moving away 10 years ago. It was a vibrant God loving church which had many Navajo's attending. The preacher had family on land behind the church, and that is all that lived there. There were others involved in the ministry that stayed on the grounds. You really need to not comment when you know so little. Mr. Ivey was a good preacher, but he needs our prayers now. He has had a rough go of it the last few years.  (Sep 3, 2010 | post #68)

Rose Acres Farms lays groundwork for egg farm

is this what's coming to Bogata? http://www.youtube .com/watch?v=59f3x eUgChc The largest egg producers in the nation are revealed in a 2010 HSUS investigation. This inhumane treatment exposed at Rose Acre Farms and Rembrandt Enterprises is typical industry behavior.  (Sep 3, 2010 | post #17)

Let's report and deport the illegal aliens

Reporting doe nothing. The feds won't deport. They want them here. They want to make Democrat out of them. Why not confront those that hire them? They are the magnet.  (Aug 11, 2010 | post #4)

I guess if we still stoned them, they wouldn't be so proud to be such deviants, would they?  (Aug 2, 2010 | post #11)

Rose Farms On Again?

Food prices are way too cheap. The farmer can't make a living without subsidies. A bushel of corn sold for $1.50 in 1970 and today sells around $ 3.50. new pickup in 1970 cost $5000.00. Today it's $30,000.00. You think that is right? Which is more important? Food or transportation? you can walk.  (Jul 18, 2010 | post #26)

Atheism 101: Do atheists ever succumb to bias?

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Job 26:10, He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end. Prov 8:27, When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth: It has taken "science " several thousand years to catch up to what God told us in His Word. Why do you fight it?  (Jul 18, 2010 | post #18)

Atheism 101: Do atheists ever succumb to bias?

it doesn't. In fact, it says a round earth. "It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:"  (Jul 17, 2010 | post #11)

Rose Farms On Again?

It's a shame that money has to come from outside in order to do anything here. And it's a shame that so much water is required. Until these rural counties start to develop what assets are already here, and water is not an asset in RR County, you will continue to lose the youth to the more prosperous areas. And CAFO's always end up being a liability to the community.  (Jul 17, 2010 | post #21)

All about the water

Water is always an issue with CAFO's. And purchased water is very expensive. And again, if built, illegals will end up manning the business.  (Jul 7, 2010 | post #3)

All about the water

I guess they didn't find enough water in their test wells. Oh well, we don't need more illegals anyhow.  (Jul 2, 2010 | post #1)

Clarksville voters say 'No' to school bond
