You may, or may not have a point on gun control, but sex with an underage girl is absolutely the worst sort of crime. Taking advantage of a young girl, unable to resist the urges of a deranged authority figure is destructive to everything that Americans want. Just the burden on society due to a nonworking mother raising a second generation nonworking mother is nuts! Babies having babies is a poor idea in any situation, period! (Yesterday | post #56)

A good number of prescription drug abusers are "therapy slick" and work the doctors for the desired drugs and increased amounts of drugs. Often they have several doctors to turn to, and it is difficult to manage them. This lady probably got caught for something "fishy" while obtaining more medication. The parents had to know of this, yet trusted their kid to her, but didn't care about her enough to intervene. Too bad, because the police aren't equipped to help her, just lock her up. Treatment was the answer. (Thursday | post #18)

Sounds to me like the bar owner is a congenial type, and responded to a demand by supplying Spotted Cow. Customers still paid sales tax on the product, and the Feds got theirs. This sounds like a union scuffle mixed in with a little "protection money" unpaid. I am 100% sure that New Glarus had nothing to do with providing illegal beer. (Thursday | post #19)

I agree. This was a perfect opportunity for an intervention, not police action. A caring family would have done the responsible thing, and left the police out of the matter. (Thursday | post #2)
