Issues with Limbaugh

I saw quite a bit of that interview on Fox--call it a fascination with the morbid LOL--and although a part of Limbaugh's POV could be put down to just a difference of opinion and philosophy with Obama and what he represents, a part of it was just plain falsehoods and hate. He's a very disturbed man and it saddens me that he has the audience that he does. I'm divided as to whether POTUS was right in trying to stamp out this fire--and thus put the spotlight on this cigar-chomping fattie--or whether it would have been more powerful to just ignore Limbaugh...  (Jan 25, 2009 | post #28)

Sasha and Malia dolls released by Beanie Baby Co.

Historically, lots of dolls have been based on real people. Bottom line is, lighten up Michelle. These girls are adored by the Nation and dolls can be good role models for children, who are after all innocents. They don't hold their beloved doll and say, "hey, this is exploitation! " Besides, we are a capitalist nation, free to make money as we wish...I'm sure there will be lots of memorabilia that pays homage to this unique first family while making a buck.  (Jan 24, 2009 | post #5)

Michelle Obama chooses Tracy Feith dress for the morning ...

Mix a little Talbots in with your JCrew if you want to stay at that price point...re Inauguration, when is Michelle going to start dressing appropriately: 1. nice yellow outfit but way too thin for the weather and shoes and gloves should have been black, 2. white formal dress too long and she kept pulling it away from the back making it impossible to dance gracefully with hubbie, and 3, wearing that glorified Spring house dress that was more suitable for a picnic to a FORMAL service at the National Cathedral when all the rest of the women were in suites. Michelle, you're the First Lady now, get with the program!  (Jan 23, 2009 | post #43)

Worst Crisis Since '30s, With No End Yet in Sight

uh, you are overlooking that McCain was chairman of the commerce committee during the 90's and his current economic advisor, Phil Gramm, was chairman of the banking committee--and together they repealed the regulation of the banks and their instruments resulting in a large part what we saw on Wall Street this past week. Regulation is key when it comes to complex financial transactions and the Republicans--who trumpeted deregulation, and still do--are squarely to blame...  (Sep 20, 2008 | post #292)
