Court Bailiffs vs Deputies

If they're actual bailiffs, and not deputy sheriffs, they have no authority outside the Justice Center to arrest anyone. Great! Like I said, I'll drop you my address and you just swing by when you're not performing miracles elsewhere and perform a few for me. Shouldn't be a problem, should it? I mean, if you can cast out demons as you say, any of the other miracles performed by our Lord & Savior should be pretty easy.  (Jul 18, 2014 | post #134354)

My apologies, I should have been more clear in my reply to you. You stated you don't think any of the biblical characters cast out demons. I was just saying I know you don't. Didn't mean for the first reply to be that cryptic.  (Jul 16, 2014 | post #134277)

I know you don't. We've had plenty of discussions in the past, over many different topics.  (Jul 16, 2014 | post #134258)

So, why is casting out demons the only miracle you can preform? I've got some water here, turn it into wine. Also have some loved ones I'd like raised from the dead. Walking on water shouldn't be a problem. What about calming the seas? Healing the sick by touching them? If you can do one, you can do them all. Anytime you want to prove it, I'll send you my address and you can drop by. For a person endowed with our Savior's power, I'd gladly clear my schedule. You're lying. I *know* you're lying. You can stop saying you did it, because you didn't. And for the record, Jesus was talking to his disciples in John 14:12.  (Jul 16, 2014 | post #134257)

You misunderstand. *I* believe the Bible is the inspired Word given to the Apostles through the Holy Ghost. Nothing crazy about that (from my point of view), though others on the forum would disagree. First, because the age of miracles has ended (1 Corinthians 13:8-13 KJV), and casting out of demons would be considered a miracle. Secondly, if demon possession *were* still possible, we, as humans, would *not* have free will. The excuse "the devil made me do it" could apply and be true! However, Paul, in his first letter to the faithful at Corinth stated1 Corinthians 10:13, KJV) Lastly, I would further argue that being our bodies are the temples of God and the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19 KJV) neither would allow possession. Anyone saying they cast out demons is a liar and if they continue to say they have, they're crazy.  (Jul 15, 2014 | post #134185)

I drop in from time to time.. it bothers me that people still want to point to the "separation of church and state/Constitution " argument. I try my best to educate those people. And, I agree. The state should be neutral. That's because Yes and Amen is a liar. He/She cast out about as many demons as I have in my lifetime. Which is to say 0. As I previously stated, the ability to do such things were endowed to the Apostles and when the last one died (John), that power vanished with him. Anyone claiming different is outright lying to you. Most of you think the "Bible Thumpers" are crazy.. and I really can't argue with that, after watching this thread expand as much as it has. A lot of them are either crazy or just ignorant of what the Bible says, not to mention what it actually *means*. I'm never going to convince some of you to change your lives and you're never going to convince me that God doesn't exist. So, we shake hands, wish each other well and travel down our own separate paths. Peace upon all of you.  (Jul 13, 2014 | post #134076)
