Chicago Cubs will add Sam Fuld to roster to replace Reed ...

Hey buddy... Angel hit a grand slam tonight to win the game for the Mets. You need to study some baseball or post more on your own paper's web site!  (Aug 2, 2009 | post #37)

Chicago Cubs win 9-8 after nearly blowing game in 9th

I wish Hendry would trade Z for Angel Pagan. What a STUD! He hit a grand slam for the Mets tonight and won the game. Last night he hit a triple and a double. He has power to all fields and a cannon for an arm. And he can play center field and has speed on the bases. And of course Hendry sold him to the Mets for a can of corn. UGH!  (Aug 2, 2009 | post #21)

You must not have been drinking any of that Florida orange juice lately. Too expensive for you? Stick to your stupid Florida papers. Angel Pagan is da bomb!  (Jul 31, 2009 | post #17)

Chicago Cubs will add Sam Fuld to roster to replace Reed ...

Angel Pagan (remember him, Hendry?) had a double and a triple in the Mets' games today. Maybe you can trade Z to the Mets to get him back, a right handed hitting outfielder with a cannon for an arm and speed on the bases. Ugh! Then you can bring up Gorzelany from Iowa sooner.  (Jul 30, 2009 | post #5)

GM says he and Lou Piniella on same page

With Ted Lilly now on the disabled list and Harden ready to go on it any time he pitches, I think Hendry and Uncle Lou ought to think about next year. Trade Soriano back to the Nationals and agree to pay the entire salary that is left. Trade Bradley back to the Rangers where he did well with Ron Washington and agree to pay the entire salary that is left. It would be addition by subtraction. Let's see what Hoffpauer and Fuld and Fox can do. The Giants LIKED Howry even though he blows nearly every game he appears in. I bet they would LOVE Gregg. Ship him west. Let's let Marshall and Hart start and Harden relieve like Kerry Wood did last year. Maybe his arm will hold up better if only pitches an inning every other day.  (Jul 25, 2009 | post #8)

Lou Piniella: Chicago Cubs still need left-handed bat

Where is Dandy Don Meredith when we need a good singer... time to turn out the lights, back up the truck, start rebuilding! Hendry was panicked into making moves to please his manager. And now we have a team that even Jim Marshall or Tom Trebelhorn would HATE to manage. UGH!  (Jul 21, 2009 | post #22)

Clash in styles led to Dale Tallon's dismissal

Maybe they will put Tallon in the booth with Pat Foley like Hawk Harrelson went back after being the GM of the White Sox.  (Jul 14, 2009 | post #3)

Cubs may file bankruptcy

I think this is the best move the CUBS have made in years. Being able to DUMP Soriano, Bradley, Lee, Zambrano, and Ramirez will make them even MORE attractive to a potential buyer and increase the competition between the 2 groups! Finally, a new beginning... bring back Dallas Green and let's start over!  (Jul 13, 2009 | post #32)

Chicago Cubs will use Jake Fox as backup catcher

Maybe refusing to pay Henry Blanco wasn't such a smart move after all, even though he is injured now in San Diego. Maybe they could have signed Pudge Rodriguez before he signed with the Florida Marlins and spanked the Cubs in the playoffs. Or they could have signed Pudge Rodriguez before he signed with Detroit. Or they could have signed Pudge Rodriguez before he signed with Houston this spring during the World Classic where Geo was smoking his funky cigarettes. Let's get more left handed hitting in the lineup too. Sign Bradley and Fukodome to 20 year contracts. And Fonzie Soriano, oy vey. Now if they had signed the Braves relief pitcher Soriano, I would have considered that a happy day.  (Jul 9, 2009 | post #3)

Utay group still in play for Chicago Cubs deal

I hope the UTAY group wins the contest for the CUBS and moves the team to UTAY! They need a team out there and they might as well take over the lovable losers.  (Jul 7, 2009 | post #3)

Lasik lawsuits: Disciplinary proceedings lag against Chic...

But Caro's mess started under Big Jim Thompson and continued under Jim Edgar and George Ryan. I do not believe ANY of those would be confused for Pat Quinn and Democrats or democratic minded folks!  (Jul 4, 2009 | post #15)

Chicago Cubs to move Alfonso Soriano down in order

Don't blame Hendry for everything. It was Uncle LOU who was crying for left handed hitters after the playoff disaster last year. And Uncle Lou could not deal with Scott Eyre so they sold him to the Phillies to help them win the World Series. So they dumped Marquis and DeRosa and Ronny Cedeno to allow salary space for Bradley and Miles and the great Aaron Heilman. Time for Uncle Lou to have his eyes examined if has finally opened them. Replace him with RYNO as manager. Please?  (Jul 4, 2009 | post #36)

U. of C. brain surgery program on probation

Good Grief... who wants to go to Indiana for anything except cigarettes? I still would NEVER go to U of C for ANY Medical work. I would rather go to St. Joseph's Hospital and have Dr. Rhoda Pomerantz care for me. She is the BEST!  (Jul 1, 2009 | post #22)
