The Muppets

I HATED the dark crystal! Then again I was young. I went to the theater to see it. It just creeped me out really... the vulture things eating the old one.. that did it for me. I cant ever watch that movie. LOL  (Aug 19, 2007 | post #41)

What is the best-tasting hot dog?

Definately Sabretts, they make the best dirty water dogs! Oh, what about the Phillies ones? Used to be able to buy them in grocery stores by the box. Dont know if they still are available, or who actually made them, but they were around back when I was younger. More nostalgic (sp) than good im guessing... As far as restuarants go, I'd take Yaccos over Potts, but i think its more the "chili" and cheese i like at Yaccos vs Potts more than the hotdog itself. Dont they both use hatfield? Potts has better pierogies though, I can get Mrs T's at the grocery store... Throw in a Miller Lite and Im good to go.  (Jul 4, 2007 | post #59)

Fans lose out in Junior's move to Hendrick

While all of you JR and Gordon fans are bickering about who will be the one to watch, Johnson will be winning championships...  (Jun 16, 2007 | post #58)

Woman killed, others hurt in four motorcycle crashes

I understand your point. My dad rides a harley, helmet and all, I ride a yamaha, also using a helmet at all times. (people seem to be amazed that the two styles of riding can coexist). I guess the fact is, reputations preceed themselves, both for sportbikes and cruisers. Problem is, BOTH sides need to wear helmets and save their family the greif of burying their loved ones. But its hard to speak in generalizations when it comes to motorcyle fatalities, even the old man cruising along at a safe rate of speed is no match for a pickup going 65 miles an hour down the backroads. I too keep a constant watch on the oblivious automobile drivers out there. Its scary. I think everyone that drives a car should have to get on a motorcyle at least once in their lives. Maybe they would show bikes the respect on the road they deserve.  (Jun 2, 2007 | post #39)

Its funny how everyone looks down on "crotch rockets" compared to harleys, and other cruisers. Is it because they are younger people (typically)? Its funny, but the majority of the helmetless cycle crowds come from the "harley" guys that think because they are on a bigger, slower, bike, that they dont need any protection. Its usually those fellows, that fight against all the helmet laws, not the 25 year old guys on sport bikes that typically, except for a few here and there, that do wear their helmets, regardless of any non helmet allowances  (Jun 2, 2007 | post #37)

Allentown Driver Hits Man On Skateboard, Flees

Haha, once they take over all the tennis courts, and put skate parks on them... A 21 year old man was trying to cross the street holding a tennis racket when he was hit my a car. the driver then fled the scene. Man, we should have places for these kids to play tennis! No one is using those skateparks, maybe we should demolish them and put tennis courts up. Now that would be funny... ok, maybe just to me. But definately ironic. lol  (May 27, 2007 | post #38)

Unfortunately skateboarding has been dying out, and there is no longer any money to be made in them. I worked at the Vans Skatepark, a few years ago in NJ, it lasted about 3 years, and then they closed all but two of their parks, both of which are in California. On top of that, the insurance rates that would have to be paid by local townships are not feasible for them to do so. Skateboarding goes through cycles. Actually most alternative sports do. Once it starts to grow again, you will see more parks opening up.  (May 27, 2007 | post #35)

Concerns over crime, Iraq war putting Pennsylvanians on edge

People are just showing you the same amount of respect you are showing to your fellow "dumb saps". Take your anger out on the government, not the people that are just doing their job. Much like you did in the wars you fought in. They were just as unnecessary as the one we are in now.  (May 27, 2007 | post #13)

You would think so. Or at least look before crossing the street. When I was little, it was always the rule to walk your bicycle across intersections, maybe he should have done the same. Eh, but whats done is done, he is still alive, but the driver should have stopped at least. Then again, this is Allentown, he probably would have gotten taken into custody for being here illegaly.  (May 27, 2007 | post #9)

Apple's on the way

I just wish the LVM didnt jump on the "outdoor shopping" bandwagon with the Promenade shops and the Soon to be Summit. They have always been an indoor mall, and should have stayed that way. Those new stores are really going to suffer in the winter months. People go to the mall because it its climate controled, no rain, wind, snow ice, heat or humidity. Now they are going to either throw on their parka to check out the new stores in the winter time.  (May 27, 2007 | post #14)

If all the dumb saps, like my brother who is over there for the second time, decide not to be dumb saps anymore, then they will have to reinstate the draft. I bet they still have you on file there smedley, so you might want to start preparing yourself, or move. Hang in there little bro. Youll be home soon.  (May 27, 2007 | post #4)
