Proposition B

Lol, didn't pass. Guess you anti-smoking folks should try harder next time to control others lives just because you disprove of their lifestyle. While you're pondering on that, I'll enjoy and puff on my cigarette.  (Jan 5, 2013 | post #28)

If your daughter is interested in working at a haunted house for pay, I've heard the the Cobb Factory pays (I think 30 a night)  (Sep 25, 2012 | post #8)

_^ Yeah I see people on here all the time running off subject, or are being completely rude with something staying off topic. I'm glad that people use this forum other than arguing but for help and opinions on things  (Sep 13, 2012 | post #14)

Best BBQ in Troy

I disagree with what "Mr. Health Department" said, except for the taxes bit. All businesses that make over a certain amount should be taxed just like everyone else.  (Sep 13, 2012 | post #78)

cable & internet in troy

It's alright I didn't wanna make it seem like I was debating a little bit lol I was just trying to help out a little. I haven't had hughes net for that long, the whole FAP thing came new to me until I asked my dad about it being a bit concerned because I use the internet to work and use it quite a bit. Honestly though, I would never go with a service who charges per MB, it's a rip off. Sprint has changed their hot spot feature that if you go over your limit you have to pay per certain Megabyte so we dumped that plan. I'm not sure yet though, hopefully soon we will switch from basic to gen4 because I can barely do anything like downloading or streaming with the basic. I'll let you know if its worth it lol but overall I think they're both the same pricing, I think charter may be a little faster but it's still pricey as Gen4 Hughesnet. So if you're on a certain income that can only afford the cheaper route it won't be garunateed to be as fast as you want it. I wish I had charter lol  (Sep 13, 2012 | post #12)

9000 Free Lunches

Although, I believe that if families cannot afford to pay for the school lunches, making your kids lunch is a lot cheaper in the long run compared to the school lunch cost for one meal. Not everyone can afford school lunches, even middle class families, which may I remind you that they cannot get the same benefits with school lunching than lower income families. I'm assuming the persons who marked my post is uneducated on how bad the middle class families are doing during this economy, having barely any benefits available to them.  (Sep 13, 2012 | post #106)

9000 Free Lunches

Excuse me, but have you ever even been in Middle Class to know what it's like for them? If you haven't been in their shoes to know what they as a person are struggling with, or do not have their life, do not judge.  (Sep 13, 2012 | post #105)

cable & internet in troy

From my understanding FAP is for the basic, which is slow anyways. Generation 4 (which the the upgrade and is 70-79 dollars flat fee a month) which is cable/DSL speed. I think we will soon be getting Gen4, because charter does not come out my way. So generation 4 which is from my understanding is about as fast as charter for around the same price. Basic a month for hughes net is $49. The upgrade for Generation 4 is an extra 20 dollars or so. I would call both companies and voice your concerns and make sure to ask what speed which packages hold. So either way, with Gen4 and Charter you'll be paying the same price, it just depends on what their speeds are.  (Sep 13, 2012 | post #10)

You're welcome! Just compare prices and ask them what their speeds are. I think the services are Charter, Hughesnet, and possibly BlueRhino? Not sure but I know there's charter and hughesnet, but I live a bit outside of the city limits so they don't come out my way :/ good luck!  (Sep 13, 2012 | post #6)

There is always hughes net, although their basic service is completely slow and it takes a LONG time to download stuff. When on youtube you have to pause the videos to load them so they'll play without stopping. Unless you want to pay the extra 10 dollars which is around 60 I believe. So if charter reached out of city limits, I would have it by now. Charter I heard is good if you're using it to download, and stream. Especially on NetFlix. Do not expect NetFlix to work with basic hughes net. There is always Dish, but for internet I think Charter is pretty good. With the pricing, make sure you also keep in mind the basic services which are too slow to do anything other than surf facebook. So 60-70 dollars is a good price for high speed cable internet. Hughes net MAY be cheaper, but make sure you upgrade to non-basic package. It'll take days to even torrent discographies, or a tv show :/  (Sep 13, 2012 | post #2)
