It's decoration. Plain and simple. So should all Chinese, Japanese eateries take down their Buddha's? If we go by the ideals of a singular person complaining about it..... I would think one would WANT the Buddha or Crucifix placed where it can be seen in public as it would prompt questions about what it is (by kids and young adults) vs. no discussion on theology.
