Missing Piece for NMSU hoops?

I can't wait for next season. This is going to be a very, very long summer. We will see a different team on the court in every aspect. We will see a matured CK, Chili, and Dixon with one year under their belts. We will FINALLY see Big Wen and Ham hopefully back to 100%. We will see the consistency of Hernst Laroche. We will see the improvement of Tyrone Watson and hopefully Bandja Sy. We will see highly anticipated players such as Remi Barry, Reynaldo Walters, Daniel Mullings, Eric Weary Jr., and Terrel de Rouen. And we will see the emergence of the students once again. This will be a tell all year for our fan base, our program, and our coach. This is going to be a different team than what we saw on Saturday March 12, 2011. 7 months...7 long months... UNLV goes with BYU aide Rice over Theus (12:50 p.m.)

Rice is a long-time UNLV assistant. Kruger let him go when he cleaned house. I'm sure he'll do just fine here in Vegas (I really don't care). In other news we landed another guard. He has size and speed. Can't wait to see next year's team! http://video.berec ruited.com/videos/ athletes/1060786/5 2694844 GO AGGIES!!!!  (Apr 12, 2011 | post #18)

Road map to success: How the Aggies can advance in WAC To...

First of all Troy Gillenwater is god! http://www.scribd. com/doc/49830229/T he-PanAmmunition-V olume-1-Issue-5-Ut ah-State Secondly, the Aggies can and will go dancing in my opinion. We have to play 3 games in 3 days...the same as every year before. The reason why the Aggies will at least make it to the finals is they have finally found their identity. They are taking it to the hole and REBOUNDING!!! They have done this against the UtAgs and Nevada if you haven't seen the last two games. Chili and CK have matured and BJ West is coming along nicely. This team gets it now and is peaking at the right time. Can't wait till Thursday! It'll be the first MEANINGFUL Aggie game I will see live (a game not during Christmas break) since Eric Channing's senior day game back when I was around 7 or 8 years old. NMSU, Nevada face off with first-round bye at stake

If we play with the same heart and intensity as the UtAg game tonight, we will beat the Wolfpack. If we play with the same heart and intensity as the UtAg game in Las Vegas, we will be cutting down the nets 7 days from now. GO AGGIES!!!!  (Mar 5, 2011 | post #6)

Aggies return focus to WAC

We lost one game. Big whoop! Our situation still doesn't change. We still have to win the WAC tournament to go dancing. I wonder what you people would be saying if TG would have made the buzzer beater. Relax people, just get behind your team. We're second in our conference and control our own destiny. We have four games left: @SJSU ESPN2 Wensday @Hawaii ESPN3.com Saturday vs UtAgs ESPN2 Next Wensday vs UNR Next Saturday Senior Day Gordo's last home game in the Pan American Center These are games that we are more than capable of getting the Wen. Don't tell a coach how to coach. You'll look like those parents from the movie Hosiers. Coach Menzies knows what he is doing and has this program going in the right direction. Get behind this team! GO AGGIES!!!!  (Feb 21, 2011 | post #10)

Laroche free throws give Aggies road win

Good wen. We almost gave away another one. I'll take the one point wen. I'm liking the play of BJ and he should see more playing time. It also looks like Ham is close to 100%. Now it's crunch time. With Nevada winning in OT last night, they are just .5 of a game behind us. There is no room for error. We have to take care of business in San Jose and Honolulu. After that, all bets are off. Cruces needs to come out for the game against the UtAgs and the game that can possibly determine 2nd place against UNR. We all know how important it is to get the 1 or 2 seed in the tournament. It's the difference between playing 2 or 3 games here in Vegas. The run starts now, 21 wins or bust! GO AGGIES!!!!  (Feb 13, 2011 | post #3)

Aggies have plenty to work on after 0-2 road trip

Tough road trip. Time to bounce back and reclaim our second place spot from the Idaho schools. The best way to learn in sports is to learn by experience. I think Chili got a lesson on boxing out on EVERY possession. Once we fix the rebounding problem, we'll be set to make a run in Vegas. I have no idea how TG and Hernst missed all those freethrows (it felt like the massachusetts trip all over again). We just need to be a little patient with the development of CK and Chili, after all they are freshmen and will make those freshmen mistakes. Stick with this team. We are still in good shape to win at least 11 WAC games and make a run in Vegas (and beyond)! GO AGGIES!!!!  (Jan 24, 2011 | post #13)

Shooting down Spartans: Long-range accuracy allows Aggies...

And Congrats to Banja Sy for making it on Sports Center's top 10 plays. That was a MONSTER dunk! Too bad only 5,500 fans got to see it in person  (Jan 16, 2011 | post #6)

Shooting down Spartans: Long-range accuracy allows Aggies...

This is the team everybody expected to see. The guys have finally gelled and found their identity. It just had to take time. For a while we had only one starter from last year starting due to Ham, TG, and Big Wen's injuries. We were forced to throw our young guys into the fire. Now that they have games under their belts, they feel more comfortable and know what to expect. CK and Sy have finally found their strokes, Watson keeps on playing with an unlimited supply of energy, and Chili has just been...A BEAST!!! We are dangerous now and once Ham gets back to 100%, there's no telling where this team will go. We could be 5-0 in conference if we didn't have that New York Mets-like collapse in Boise but we're not. I know our competition wasn't the best, but every conference has those teams. The WAC just has more. We're 4-1 and with the way we are playing and where our chemistry is at, don't be surprised if we come back to Las Cruces 6-1. We are the real deal. It's time to cheer on your Aggies again. GO AGGIES!!!!  (Jan 16, 2011 | post #5)

Aggies escape scare from Louisiana-Lafayette

The inexperience of our young guys showed last night. Gordo and Hernst kept us in the game and helped us win. CK needs to learn that he can't take these ill-advised shots. It's great that we can have a learning experience and still get the W. However we need to play nearly flawless against St. Marys. Their only losses are to #7 San Diego St and #23 BYU. We need to dominate inside and crash the boards. This team has great guard play so a zone D will kill us. It would be great if we can get TG or Ham (or both) back for this game. Does anybody have a timetable for their return? Also I think it's great that they are restarting the standing and clapping/cheering until the other team scores their first points after each half tradition. It really gives us a home court advantage and makes the Pan Am a tough place to play. Who knows, maybe our fans will earn the title Panamaniacs again! GO AGGIES!!!!  (Dec 22, 2010 | post #5)
