"if two dudes can marry, what's to stop two siblings or an adult and a child, etc." Well whats stops a adult from marrying a child is the law unless the parents consent. In some parts of the world siblings CAN marry. In some states 1st cousins can marry but again in the US what stops that is the law based on our understanding of genetics. What stops people for marrying animals? The animals cannot consent to the marriage. Finally Bestiality and Pedophilia are sexual in nature and have nothing to do with marriage or the loving relationship between 2 consenting adults. We allow opposite sex couple to get married even though, on occasion heterosexual men and women abuse children. Also, we haven't exactly seen a rash of people wanting to marry animals so why do we thing gay marriage will lead to that outcome? Because they have to have SOME reason to vilify us and that crackpot reason is as good as any.  (Friday Jun 14 | post #8)

There were always gay kids - there were always gay people - as far back in history as you care to look there were gay people.
