Flyers acquire Versteeg from Leafs

From every story I've seen in print or on t.v., it seems nobody is saying anything about Philly's goaltending. Some have even complimented the dual of Boosh and Bob. I take it you haven't seen many Flyers games? If you had you wouldn't be questioning the goaltending. Besides the Flyers would have to had mortgage their future to get some of the goalies that were available and others were not as good, like Turco who is way overrated and is now a backup. The Flyers lead the East with the goaltending they have. They must be doing something right!  (Feb 21, 2011 | post #10)

I have to disagree with you Dev Star. The Flyers didn't over look goaltending. Boosh has regained his form (with the help of a new goalie coach that they really needed since Rege wasn't helping) and Bob is the goalie of the future. They also have one of the best defenses in the league. You can win a cup with an above average goalie with a strong defense in front of them. Look at Detroit with Osgood. Osgood is an above average goalie that had a great defense in front of him when he won his cups. When he left and went elsewhere he was exposed. I'll take a excellent defense in front of a average goalie than an average defense in front of a Hall of Fame goalie. Without a real good defense clearing the front of the net I don't care how good of a goalie you are you're going to be scored on if your defense can't move the forwards out from constantly take shoots on net. Ask Hasek. He was superb in Buffalo but didn't win until he went to Detroit.  (Feb 18, 2011 | post #7)

Brown to vote against health-care law repeal

Show me were it is a job killer? I for one have not seen it. As a matter of fact a lot of small business's support the Health Care reform as it lets them find better coverage for their employees and will cost less because Insurance Companies will have to compete with one another instead of basically one or two Insurance Companies competing in one State. Now all Insurance Companies will be allowed to compete in any State they want. As a matter of fact it will actually create more jobs. Insurance Companies will have to hire more people in each State that they decide to go into to compete. I love how people hear something from either the Tea Party or Faux News and determine it's the truth. Same way Faux news reported about a trip to India that the President took and claimed it cost a billion dollars. No Fact check done or any thing like that. Just take the Story and run with it because It's that Dirty Obama. We really want to call Him a Dirty N***** is what their thinking, but we would lose our license if we did. I know a bunch of you on here probably think the same way. I just wonder I McCain had done this how many of you on here would be so upset? McCain also wanted to have a Universal Health Care. Some of the ideas for the Current Health Care was made back in 1996 by Republicans. Many of whom voted against this one even though they actually crafted back during the Clinton Administration many of the things in place with the Current Health Care. Can you say HYPOCRITES? Sure You Can!  (Feb 2, 2011 | post #97)

Bachmann's Diva Moment Mutes Boehner Gavel:

Who cares about her. She is one fry short of a Happy Meal. I can't believe that she still gets elected after all her stupid comments and lack of common knowledge. She must go up against some real losers if she is the best that they could dredge up from either party.  (Feb 2, 2011 | post #10)

Fact Check: Gop uses shaky number to fight health care law

You really are in need of some help. I take it your not a Christian. If you were you wouldn't be condemning a person like your doing. You should be more worried about all the Politicians and not just one. You make it sound like the Right doesn't do anything wrong. Isn't it their spending and deregulation that got our Country into this mess? The answer is yes. I bet you have a lot of skeletons in your closet that you probably don't want to see the light of day. How about you run for office and we will expose you for the hypocrite that you appear to be.  (Jan 21, 2011 | post #401)

Health care repeal clears House; now, the hard part

Has anyone seen the recent polls that show Americans actually Favor the Health Care "LAW" that is in effect. Once people sat down and stopped listening to the racists on the far right and examined what was in it, they were for it. They also realized that it wasn't a "Government take over of their Health Care." It was simply making it easier to keep your health care and or shop around for better health care. I know a few people who were totally against it and now after seeing some of the benefits like keeping their College Grad on their insurance while he/she go and find a job has made them rethink alot about what both sides say. If people would stop listening to the extreme on both sides and start telling them to listen to us, then maybe this Country can start moving in the right direction. I saw that someone stated that the ones who took office are "doing what we elected them to do." I laughed. They weren't doing that because you elected them. It was to flex their muscles and show the left that their in charge of the house. Now is when you will see that they won't be doing your bidding but the bidding of the Corporations and big money donors to their campaigns. Especially now since The Supreme Court decided to open the flood gates of money that doesn't have to be recorded and that makes it easier for Foreign Countries to slip money into Political races. But what could you expect from a biased Conservative Court that is suppose to be impartial and not rule with Judicial prejudice.  (Jan 21, 2011 | post #116)

Waste of time. This Country is facing bigger problems and they repeal a "LAW" that won't even see the light of day in the Senate. I don't know what is worse. Conservatives or Liberals. Doesn't anyone Govern from the Middle any more? It's either to far Left or to far Right. Also I would like to know how many incoming Congressional Members refused Health Care for themselves and their families? After all it is Government Health Care they are receiving. Isn't that what they campaigned against?  (Jan 20, 2011 | post #91)

Both Liberals and Conservatives are pretty much the same. No compromise on any issues. It's either their way or no way. Both will destroy this Country. Instead of yelling at each other that their this or that, why don't you all just try and find some common ground and work from there. Maybe if you all can do it, then maybe the Politicians in Washington can start seeing that the People who elected them can work towards the common good of the Country, then they can also.  (Jan 20, 2011 | post #275)

Yet the Right doesn't Vilify anyone? I'm not sticking up for the Left, but come on, both sides spin and lie and condemn. The sooner everyone realizes this the better off we all are to read between the lines. It's time WE ELECTED OFFICIALS THAT WILL WORK TOWARDS BETTERING THE COUNTRY AND NOT PLAY POLITICAL PARTY GAMESMANSHIP!  (Jan 20, 2011 | post #265)

I don't believe in Abortion, but at the same time you are out of line when you assume that you know that the President will Pardon this person. I bet you are one of the looney tunes who believe that he's a Muslim and isn't an American Born Citizen. It's people like you that I fear that this Country will continue to spiral into the depths of hell.  (Jan 19, 2011 | post #194)

Show me proof that the CBO said this. It's easy to come on here and say this with out proof. As far as Bush goes, I voted for him the first time. Second time I didn't vote for either since I felt both were incompetent to lead this Country. Besides I'm not a Dem or Rep. I am an Independent that feels Government should be run from the middle and not the Left or the Right. Many Years ago they use to do this, but over the past three decades it's been one way or the other which gives us our latest troubles as a Nation. But yet Voters keep putting in extremist from both Parties that refuse to work with the other Party to move this Nation FORWARD. That is why we need another Party in this Country as to keep the other two more focused in serving the People and not special interest groups that supply them money for their reelections.  (Jan 19, 2011 | post #129)

Flyers push past Capitals in overtime

Good win. Didn't let the fact that the Caps came back to tie it up get the team rattled. Just came out and played like they did the first two periods.  (Jan 19, 2011 | post #1)

I'm surprised that Bylsma wasn't asked to Coach a team. After all everything revolves around the Pens, doesn't it?  (Jan 19, 2011 | post #1)
