The USA is a sectarian country. Religion has no place in deciding political matters. "Religious Freedom" has no place in infringing the civil rights of others. Particularly since most of the people preaching said freedom haven't even read their own Bible and cannot string a sentence together. For example it's; "You ARE wrong" not "You IS wrong".  (Thursday Aug 21 | post #59475)

The gay cafe for GLBT, friends and family

Please don't bother replying to the troll. I came on this website... About four years ago? And even then this troll has been on this page and a similar one for about three years. Let that sink in. He's spent SEVEN years prattling about homosexuality and his secret fetishes. Just log out and leave him to it. It's frankly disturbing.  (Thursday Aug 21 | post #97415)

It's quite sad... you post, yet no one cares... so alone. I'll ask my Christian friends to pray for you.  (Feb 7, 2014 | post #95510)

I'm confused by your point. Considering you keep referring to marriage as an evolutionary social structure, why is it beyond the realms of possibility to allow the same basic financial and civil rights to same sex couples that are already awarded to opposite sex couples? Do you not think it's rather unfair that a monogamous committed couple should be given the same financial benefits that are given to people like Kim Kardashian who has a 72 day marriage? Or heterosexuals in Vegas who has Elvis chapel weddings? I really don't understand your argument.  (Jan 21, 2014 | post #20544)

Procreative ability isn't a prerequisite to marry. In the modern western world very few people (especially outside of Bible-bashing USA) actually care about the religious side of marriage. Most people straight or gay go for a civil ceremony which enables the couple to have their relationship legally recognised. Most people couldn't give two hoots about the religious side of things. In the UK civil partnerships were given equal rights to married couples, I don't understand why in the USA people feel the need to deny basic financial rights to same sex couples. And why are you going on about breeding when the world is so dangerously overpopulated to the extent where thousands of people starve to death every day.  (Jan 20, 2014 | post #20511)

Just to throw a spanner into the works. Didn't pagans first define marriage rather than Christians? Pagans and Native Americans were performing marriages (including Same Sex marriages) and marriage-like ceremonies (i.e. hand-fastings) before the Bible was even conceived and way before the story of Eden. Christians have no right to restrict anyone's rights to marriage.  (Jan 20, 2014 | post #20510)

Gay marriage

This is a GAY marriage thread, it relates to GAY people. I could say I don't like what flowers you plant in your garden, or agree with your diet and exercise regime. Doesn't mean I have the right to pull up all of your plants or knock a slice of cake out of your hand. Why do people in the USA have such a ridiculous notion that marriage has to be drastically redefined? it's a made-up social construct to begin with!  (Jan 12, 2014 | post #18477)

I discovered I liked the same gender in the same respect you discovered you found the opposite gender attractive. I developed a crush on a boy, whereas I always saw girls in a purely platonic way, and find the idea of having a romantic involvement with a girl alien. While i'm not a sexual being, i'm a romantic, I engage in emotional relationships. In short, I don't have sex, mainly out of choice because sex doesn't appeal to me on any level, but I still have a committed relationship with my partner.  (Jan 12, 2014 | post #18476)

It shows you failed to comprehend my earlier post. All of those examples you list are SUPERFLUOUS ANALOGIES. They are foolish examples. All of those examples you list have nothing in common with homosexuality because they all lack this little thing called CONSENT. Incest for the majority of cases isn't consensual, and even so the issue with incest is that it causes genetic abnormalities in children. Homosexual acts are consenting acts between two adults, and what they do in the bedroom is no concern of yours. Stop policing normal human behavior you idiotic fascist.  (Jan 12, 2014 | post #18475)

In reference to the suicides. LGBT suicides are a result of either bullying, parental rejection, issues with coming to terms with ones gender or sexuality (this usually surrounds religious indoctrination / parental disapproval / homophobia in ones environment). It's usually outside factors. That or, like the rest of the population, LGBT people have a 1 in 4 chance of developing a mental illness at some point in their lives anyway and simply make up the 1% stat of people who kill themselves.  (Jan 12, 2014 | post #18474)

Ok it's obvious you have a chip on your shoulder now. Maybe you Dad left your Mom when you were little, or you never married and envy the love gays have for each other, or maybe you're a closet homosexual. Deep down inside of you there might be a little blonde girl with pigtails kicking and screaming on the closet door desperate to be let out. Either way I've come to this conclusion - you sir, are an idiotic redneck who has nothing better to do than spout homophobia on an internet forum. I'm busy working towards a degree in law, a profession which eventually will put people like you behind bars where they belong. Good day.  (Jan 12, 2014 | post #18473)

You're the one who is being homophobic and causing a scene on a GAY thread on a GAY forum. I STILL can't understand why a supposed HETEROSEXUAL MAN, is on a HOMOSEXUAL AND LESBIAN FORUM. I looked at your profile, all you do is post on GAY MARRIAGE thread. My question is still; why? Why does it concern you so much what two men or women do in their lives that you feel the need to constantly post on a gay marriage threadHa, what is your source? Homophobic disgusting websites which call for a dark ages style witch-hunt against the LGBTQ community? Please stop being such a redneck.  (Jan 12, 2014 | post #18451)

My source is life experience, I work part-time with both a transgender youth group and an LGBQ youth group in my local area. Most of my friends are LGBTQ, I go to an LGBTQ society at my University and I have relatives who are LGTBQ and who have adopted children, and those children have also achieved well in their lives. Your sources on the other hand are disgusting, homophobic, hate-mongering websites which actively call for treating LGBT people like second-class citizens. Should be ashamed.  (Jan 12, 2014 | post #18450)
