Drone Strike on American Soil Authorized

The one sin Afghanistan are fighting because we've invaded them long ago. Our government and military are the enemies over there and here. If you can't see that, then you're part of the problem.  (Feb 15, 2013 | post #28)

You really ave a distorted view of the world. If we don't understand the "enemy", then we'll never be able to end the violence.  (Feb 14, 2013 | post #26)

Yeah, even Christians aren't Christians, since they booed THE GOLDEN RULE. Apparently, some (not all) Christians believe in the golden rule, except when it comes to government. Oh, they can do what they want. God warned us in I Samuel what governments would do, and tried to tell us we shouldn't.  (Feb 14, 2013 | post #22)

The Bible also okays murders, too. And many Christian killers use the Bible as inspiration for murder. Both the Bible and Koran do NOT condone murder. But it is non-fiction historic telling of how life was during those times. And blaming a whole religion or book on murder is stupid since you're not focusing on the individual. And 9/11 was blowback form our government's and military's UNPROVOKED interventions in the Middle East since 1953. Read history before ramming foot in mouth.  (Feb 13, 2013 | post #18)

Does this person have the right to know?

I'm sure the mother is in mourning. And surely no one should expect her to be this "man"'s caregiver. He chose not to care, not her. Losing your child is not an easy venture. Someone needs to be there for her, not having her go mailman for someone, especially someone who didn't care.  (Feb 13, 2013 | post #12)

A drone strike is authorized. We'd have drone surveillance in U.S. air space for months now. Drone hunting comes to mind. And if you think Muslims are an enemy, then you're part of the problem.  (Feb 11, 2013 | post #10)

I wouldn't say he has a *right* to know. If he cared for the child he would've been around. When he comes around to caring then he should know, if you ask me. People like that shouldn't have pity.  (Feb 9, 2013 | post #4)

why is it so hard to meet a decent girl

Men and women have this game they play. As human beings we feel we need companionship, whether for friendship, love, or lust. And when they can't find what they're looking for, they blame the *other* sex. Both are right, and wrong. Friendship cannot be had without trust, respect, or love. And since love (i.e., relationship) is built on friendship, at least the kind that lasts, thus must go accordingly. Lust can be with friends, strangers, acquaintances, or even enemies. Just to hit the hay for a night or few of fun and steam. All three are sought after by human beings in one fashion or another. The problem, the ultimate problem, comes down to equality versus fairness. Men and women, both, socialize the idea that honesty, faithfulness, and desire must come from the get-go and at a moment's notice. Which is commendable, but it's not fair. If I don't know you, why in the world am I going to trust you or respect you? Trust and respect are earned. And that doesn't happen overnight. Once time has passed and you've been friends to each other, given you've earned mutual trust and respect, only then can the fair question of relationship come into play. Here you know if the other can deliver what you want, without unreasonable expectations. This is fair. Now, if the other refuses to take the time to be friends, then you know they just want lust. Nothing wrong with it, unless they keep pressuring you (in which case, purchase and learn how to use a gun for protection). Lust. Men are led to believe they are "players " or "jerks" for wanting a lot of sex; and women are led to believe they are "sluts" or "whores" for wanting the same. People who call people these names, based on their sexual prowess, obviously cannot handle such a person. It'd be only fair to not pursue said person. You don't need trust or respect to give into lust, but mutual assurance that this what the parties involved want. It's only fair, right?! The kicker? Both sides believe they are playing by the rules, and both sides believe they are being cheated. This is because they're not being fair. Men and women have desires, they have individual personalities, and their own standards. People are individuals, including the opposite sex. Accept there are no rules, accept in being fair, and accept that people are imperfect, and you will find what you want. (Side note: why would you waste time trying to chase or change an individual you don't really want?) Final thought: Confidence is sexy and gorgeous. Believe in yourself and do what you can. Don't set your sights too high, or too low; don't set your interests on a pedestal, or below you; don't expect things to happen overnight. We're all individuals, it's only fair to expect that and adapt to that. Forget words like tradition and progress, and just be yourself.  (Feb 8, 2013 | post #36)

Obama-Marriage - Somerset, KY

And how is government being involved in marriage not dismantling the Constitution??? It is unconstitutional for government to even have a say. At least the federal government. And if you believe a state should, morally (as opposed to legally), define and legislate marriage, then you have no respect for any marriage. Marriage is sacred, a bond, something private. If you're married, it's no one's business how you and your spouse conduct said marriage.  (Feb 1, 2013 | post #1243)

While the rest of your post is just irrational, backward drivel, you got one thing right. Gay rights is a stupid thing. So is "straight " rights. You either believe in individual rights or none at all. Marriage, a legal contract between individuals, does not affect you. You have not provided any proof that it's harmful to children or that it's a threat at all. Just long-winded comments designed to make it seem like you know what you're talking about. No substance.  (Feb 1, 2013 | post #1236)

You're so ignorant with your head so far up your behind you can't see the light of day. ALL marriage is the same. A contract between parties in a relationship. It doesn't matter who it's between. The fact the government is involved is a sleight against the whole institution. The family is not contingent on marriage either. Between village families, single-parent families, gay-couple families, teenage families, etc., marriage is just a part of some families. Go back to your public school and remain dumbed down, or come to reality and reconcile your bigotry. Can people really be this ignorant?  (Feb 1, 2013 | post #1229)

If you think love is biological, then you don't know the meaning of the word. And you show your ignorance by saying "homosexual and lesbian" - though you did spell those "big" words correctly. It's like saying "handicap person and person in a wheelchair". Bigotry doesn't mean intelligence. lol!  (Jan 29, 2013 | post #1221)

congress and senators net worth

Most of them are millionaires, some are billionaires. Standard members of Congress "earn" $174,000 a year, plus expenses and lifetime pension. Only Congressmen Ron Paul and Howard Coble, and Senator Rand Paul waives their compensation. Rep. Hal Rogers, Chairman of House Appropriations Committee is not only one rich son of a gun, but expects his constituents to pay for his lifestyle. If you think politicians care about you, then you're more of a fool than anyone has ever let you know. I say, repeal the Compensation Claus of the U.S. Constitution.  (Jan 28, 2013 | post #4)

Anybody watch the Benghazi Hearings?

Pretty much. That's been our foreign policy since we first messed with the Middle East so belligerently in 1953 and beyond.  (Jan 28, 2013 | post #13)

This will be my last reply to you, because you argue without substance, just filler, and you hope the propaganda deception will help you (by telling a lie, keep repeating it, and people will believe you). Let's assume (since it honestly isn't the case) that Jesus and God do find homosexuality as a sin. The dire consequences of offenses are natural. If you think bashing gays, hating them, using force against them, and refusing to love them are the consequences the Bible talks about you, then you're not a true Christian. Just another deceiver who wants to use religion for evil. Thank you for the discussion.  (Jan 27, 2013 | post #1210)
