Enough of the status quo already. Vote for a person whose decisions will be guided by the Constitution.  (Nov 2, 2010 | post #52)

Who do you support for Governor in California in 2010?

On the contrary, I've known Chelene for years. Her lack of political office experience and the fact that she is beholden to NO ONE is part of her appeal. Meg Whitman has no political experience, unless you count the fact that she rarely voted, yet many of you Brown naysayers are willing to trust her with the governorship. Ironically, that would be funny if it weren't so hypocritical. Additionally, you apparently don't know as much as you think you do. Chelene does not believe that 9-11 was planned or carried out by the government. What she does believe is that We the People have the right to question our government, something our government (the ones who supposedly work for us) seems to have a problem with. I fail to see how this makes her a "truther. " I trust Chelene to surround herself with a brilliant staff in order to help her implement those policies and platforms she is running on--all of which make extremely good sense for this state--not that I would expect any of you haters to actually research her stance on the issues. It's much easier for you all to regurgitate each other's misinformation and downright lies, than it is to do any actual fact finding. In my opinion and, I would venture to add, the opinion of most of those who will vote third party, Brown=Whitman=Brow n=Whitman. To us, there really is no lesser of two evils. They are both the same, from their stance on illegal immigration down to their support of the job killing Global Warming Final Solutions Act. It really doesn't matter which one is elected. It will still be BUSINESS AS USUAL in Sacramento come November 3rd. At least I'll have the personal satisfaction of knowing that I did not contribute to the meltdown.  (Oct 19, 2010 | post #1485)

As long as people LIKE YOU continue to vote the lesser of two evils, we will continue to be handed hand-picked two party candidates from which to choose. Third parties only become viable when the apathetic and complacent electorate finally decides that they have had enough of the status quo. I'm voting for Chelene. I'm voting my conscience. I refuse to hold my nose while choosing which smelly piece of garbage will do less harm to me and mine than the other smelly piece of garbage. Whitman is Brown in a skirt. They actually agree on more than they disagree on--so who cares which one gets in? One is a total nut job and the other is a RINO. Neither deserves the vote of an educated electorate. The true insanity lies in the vote of those who continue to vote the status quo over and over again while expecting a different outcome. Now there's some ignorance for you.  (Oct 19, 2010 | post #1461)

If this is the same Keith I know, send me a message. I'm back in California and I was just asking Kim D. and Ted if they had heard from you.  (Oct 19, 2010 | post #1395)

Chelene had nothing to do with the Shawna Forde nonsense and you know it. Neither did Save our State. Shawna Forde was involved with Jim "I'm using your donations to fund my lavish lifestyle" Gilchrist, who, by the way, still supports the murdering nutjob. So, if I were you, I'd take anything that Jim Gilchrist has to say with a grain of salt. He and his right hand man, Marvin, were embezzling from the Minutemen. No credibility issues there at all, are there? Additionally, the fact that the Church of Morris Dees (SPLC) has labled SOS a "racist" organization doesn't mean squat. It is merely another sordid little organization that profits from finding bigots under every little rock, whether they exist or not. Don't believe me? Just Google Morris Dees. You'll understand why anyone with half the intelligence that God gave a corn cob doesn't take them seriously. But then again, your posts don't exactly scream "higher education." Chelene Nightingale is one of the few Christians I know who actually lives her faith. That is quite an endorsement coming from a Pagan. Yes, she and her husband, like so many people in this country, were driven to bankruptcy by an economy and a state that has become totally small business hostile. That does not make her incapable of fiscal responsibility. That makes her human. She is not alone. Millions of Americans, even Americans who once boasted incomes of $100,000 a year plus have had to resort to bankruptcy, even though it has become increasingly difficult to file. For the vast majority, it is a matter of the economic down turn and loss of employment in this country, NOT irresponsibility. http://www.mybudge t360.com/141-milli on-americans-filed -for-personal-bank ruptcies-in-2009-a -jump-of-32-percen t-from-2008-more-a nd-more-average-am ericans-resorting- to-bankruptcy-even -with-tougher-rule s-to-file/ It would behoove you (as well as all of the other irresponsible nonsense spouting posters) to do some actual research rather than regurgitating sound bites from Chelene hating whack jobs.  (Oct 19, 2010 | post #1394)

The best things about Chelene are that she is not a career politician nor is she beholden to special interest groups. She is a normal person trying to live a normal life in a state that has gone completely off the tracks. So what if she filed for bankruptcy. She isn't the only good person who has been driven to extreme measures by this non-existent economy. If being pro-business, pro-America, pro-Tenth Amendment (look that one up Ms. Garcia), anti-taxpayer funded goodies for illegal aliens, pro-Capitalism, and pro-small government, makes one "nuts" then there are more of us legumes in this country than the left had counted on.  (Oct 17, 2010 | post #1165)

Chelene Nightingale is the only hope for the restoration of California's former greatness. Currently, we offer the 49th worst environment for small businesses. Only Washington, D.C. and New Jersey are worse. A rather dubious distinction if you ask me. Both Whitless and Moonbean support the job killing AB32--the Global Warming Final Solutions Act, which if passed, spells the final death knell for California businesses, both large and small. While its proponents blather on about green jobs, what they neglect to tell you is that all of the fabrication of these green products, i.e.; solar panels, windmill parts, etc., will be done in China, where it's cheaper to do so, and shipped into California to be installed. Exactly what green jobs open up? We all know that the fabrication sector is necessary to open up a large number of jobs. Chelene Nightingale is pro-business, pro-Proposition 23, which will inhibit the implementation of AB32 until our unemployment drops below 5.5% for four consecutive quarters, pro-states' rights (the 10th Amendment) and will seek to halt the bleeding of California taxpayer dollars in support of illegal immigration. Whitless and Brown are illegal alien pandering idiots. Vote for REAL change in Sacramento. Chelene Nightingale for Governor. nightingaleforgove rnor.com  (Oct 17, 2010 | post #1125)

Gay/Lesbian

Think homosexuality is "wrong"?

Now there's a god you can sink your teeth into. Personally, I'd rather take my chances than spend one moment of the afterlife cooped up with a god that is so vindictive as to throw someone into a flaming pit forever simply because they choose a spiritual (or non-spiritual) path that doesn't include him. What happened to the 38,000 years of modern humans who walked this earth before this invidious and clutching Hebrew thunder god entered the picture? What about the Neanderthals? The archaeological record proves that these cousins of the modern humans had compassion for their wounded, completed burial rituals for their dead, and held their children in the highest regard--what about their souls--or do you not consider them to be sentient beings? What about the Chinese, the iKung, the Aborigine, the Native American, the Buddist, the Taoist, the Sikh? Yep, I can live without a god whose spiteful vengefulness refuses to acknowledge the inherent goodness in much of humanity and instead, in its jealousness and desire for revenge, sentences those whose belief system doesn't include him to an eternity of agony.  (May 5, 2008 | post #12987)

Gay/Lesbian

Do you think an admitted gay should teach school?

Yet another illiterate poster unable to comprehend the facts in front of them. There is NO scientific evidence to back up your claim--yet there are reams of it which state that homosexuals are not the overwhelming perpetrators of sexual abuse of children. Your insistence that the truth is other than what it is merely serves to highlight your bigotry and hatred toward a particular segment of society. However, I would wager that, as with most men, your hatred is reserved for gay men. Lesbians probably make you salivate like Pavlov's dog.  (May 5, 2008 | post #587)
