Trinity Co. officials avoid rain, but have no luck in sea...

My heart goes out to the family of the missing man. You are in my thoughts and prayers  (Mar 31, 2011 | post #1)

Metal Head on Pagoda Street

Your welcome. I'm not sure what all Jim has at his shop now but I have seen some really cool stuff! I think there was half a dozen brightly painted giant fish hanging from the ceiling. He had a small tank that fit on a JEEP. A Roswell Car that he has driven in one of the Trinity Parades and in the Art Car Parade in Houston, I believe he also has one of them in the Art Car Museum. There was a unique cage with birds. A one time he also had a car that was painted in the Esher style by students of his at a university down around Ulvade, I think. At one time he was asked by a civil group in town to design a sign for welcoming people into Trinity on the South end. The sketch was nothing short of incredible. The word Trinity was promenently featured in block letters in the center with a Train coming out of the sign at the T and a logtruck coming out of the other end at the Y, heading the center. The group decided the cost was to much. Personally, I think they dropped the ball!  (Feb 25, 2011 | post #35)

You might try stopping by the shop and letting her see some of the neat things he has inside. His painted cars and giant fish seem to hypnotize kids :) Anyway, Jim is a really nice guy and doesn't seem to mind visitors or talking about his work. Perhaps it would help her in some way if she could see it up close and personal and see that it's nothing more than a big hunk of metal that can't possibly hurt her. And make a game out of seeing who can spot pinhead first! Worked with my neice!  (Feb 23, 2011 | post #33)

Trinity is a dump !

Don't totally delude yourself into thinking that Trinity can't be shut down. I've seen it happen to other towns. Heck, it happened to Groveton, Lovelady, etc. And do you really think it will hurt the "good ole boys" that you are after? Why would it when they hold jobs out of town? But you are right about one thing. Trinity will drag on like it is until people stop complaining and start lending a hand to help. Not just say, oh yea, you can count on me, I'll be there! Of course you can continue to complain on here or you can work to clean up a neighborhood at a time starting with your own. But of course that would mean leaving the comfort of your desk chair, getting together with neighbors and arranging a clean-up project where everyone on the street does their own part. Have a pot-luck lunch and get to know your neighbors. You just might see some changes happening around this little town.  (Jan 27, 2011 | post #25)

Trinity is a dump !

Do you know what really happens when everyone decides to buy everything in another town to save a buck (that they end up spending in gas anyway) or to shut down the good old boy system? First, prices continue to go up. Second, people start losing their jobs because the business they worked at is being forced to cut back labor to meet their baseline costs (building rental/mortage, electric, water, etc.) Third, city workers and police officers are let go, the city's quarterly tax refund has severly decreased due to the loss of business in the town. Fourth, the businesses in Trinity slowly start to shut down one by one and the town becomes filled with vacant buildings that cry welcome to vandalism and crime. Fifth, Trinity becomes the next Groveton, Lovelady, Midway or any other town you can think of in the US that once was and now is barely hanging on. But hey, good suggestion if you really want to see the end of Trinity! (wiping scarcasm off the keys)  (Jan 27, 2011 | post #22)

Please! Everyone that has been on here for any length of time have no problem recognizing your writing style and way of trying to stir the pot. If you are going to hide your id then perhaps you should stop denying it so vehemently and work on changing your writing style. As for cases in which payment arrangements were made - of course there is no warrant issued for them. We already covered this! Once payment arrangements have been made the person is removed from the warrant list and the warrant is recinded. But while I am looking up all of this information in the Judge's office next week I will need names and/docket numbers so that I may find the right information  (Jan 21, 2011 | post #34)

Thank you, thank you. It took me a little bit to recognize the familiar writing style. At least we all know that he is still actively working to clean up are fair city!  (Jan 21, 2011 | post #30)

First, it's Mrs Kirby as if you didn't know. Secondly, I have a question for you. Are you sure that releasing this information isn't going to get you in trouble with the FBI? I wouldn't want you to jeopardize your position with them as you work with them to protect and clean-up the residents of Trinity. Oh, let me also ask you this ... what happened with your work investigation Mr. Smith? Oh and I love the new id. Much more fitting than Texian was. As for you being on the JP's docket ... didn't I see your name on that warrant list? Maybe not, I could be mistaken. I just remember seeing a Sellers on there. Oh ... and good luck with your newest efforts to incite a riot/rift among the people of Trinity. Your dedication is to be commended. Hope you have better luck this time than you did with the other attempts. Have a GREAT day!  (Jan 21, 2011 | post #27)

I'm sorry you misunderstood me. I'm not talking for the judge, I'm talking about him just like you are. If these people really exist why don't you go into his office and have a talk with him about it rather than getting on here and complaining where it never does any good? Perhaps a face-to-face sit-down are in order for you and the judge. Just a thought? The way the precincts are drawn up is rather crazy. Are you sure they live in his precinct and not someone else's?  (Jan 20, 2011 | post #16)

I totally forgot to mention that if you would like to see a copy of the current warrant list, you can find a copy pasted at: http://nixle.com/a lert/4638119/  (Jan 20, 2011 | post #14)

For the record, the correct name is Justice of the Peace Bernie Beard. I would suggest that some of the facts on here should be checked. A new warrant list is issued daily out of both JP Reynolds and JP Beard's offices to the county and city officers and constables. Why a new one daily? Because things change that quickly. That and a little rule that says that if a person comes in and makes a promise to pay that their name has to be removed from the warrant list until they once again fail to pay. Problem with this little rule, the JP's can't do anything other than to continue to issue new warrants when people fail to pay. And guess what? It's set up the same way in other counties, not just Trinity. Sometimes I am rather confused by the descriptions people give of JP Beard. Those that either have no first hand experience with him or have been told no by him, really don't like him and are quick to say that he is corrupt. Those that have won cases in his court or found him willing to work with them as long as they keep their word refer to him as a decent God-fearing man. There are even some that refer to him as the bearded hanging judge of Trinity County because he is becoming known for not letting people slide just because of who they are or who they know. I have known JP Beard for years and even I wouldn't want to go in front of him in his court if I was in the wrong. He would probably throw me under the jail! But if I was in the right and had solid proof, there isn't another judge in the county I would rather go in front of. Say what you will about JP Beard, but just sit back and watch while things change in his precinct.  (Jan 20, 2011 | post #13)

Trinity Parade

There has been 4-wheelers, go-carts and even a dune buggy in the parade for years. Admitedly the kids should drive more responsible rather than showing off for everyone, but shouldn't they be allowed to participate too? If your worried about your car, don't park on 19, I sure don't.  (Sep 25, 2010 | post #2)
