U.S. Army Officer Calls Obama an "Impostor"

Republicans and Democrats "appear" to be different to the public but what both sides want is more government and to ensure they stay rich. How many poor men have provided jobs to others - none How many broke companies have expanded and added employees - none If you tax big biz..then they aren't going to grow..they won't hire..and the middle class is out of a job. Money rolls downhill and as far as I know a poor man doesn't have any money to be pushing down the hill. If the Demos stopped giving our hard earned tax money way to people that want to sit on their butts and collect a check we would have a lot more money. Do you know that if you are considered poor you can get - Free lunches for your kids, free rent, utilities, a cell phone, education, etc. Why can't these people earn some of this free stuff by working - our schools can't afford to pay for support staff...make them earn their government money or the parks and hightways need cleaning...make them work...Stop allowing 3-4 generations on welfare. Clinton had the ability to take out Osama during his Presidency but didnt'...therefore Bush tried to take him out...neither side had won that battle and neither will Obama. Dem's health bill will actually do nothing for the middle class but raise their rates. This bill still leaves 20 million people uninsured - the same amount that is uninsured now. Seriously..if you are poor you currently get title 19 or someother form of government assisted health care. If you are rich or believe you are healthy enough you don't need health insurance why should you be forced to carry insurance? If the Dems were soo worried about the middle class why don't they have something in their bill about tort reform? If this bill is so nice then why won't the Senate and Congress get the same insurance..because it is not going to provide good coverage or care.  (Feb 25, 2010 | post #15785)

U.S. Army Officer Calls Obama an "Impostor"

Republicans and Democrates are all in this together - It is like WWF wrestling or "Good Cop/Bad Cop" have the bad guys and the good guys but they all go to breakfast in the morning after their done with the show. The real question here should be how far are the AMERICAN people willing to put up with the Government take over by either party. How many of you know that their are concentration camps in this country designed to hold AMERICAN citizens..not criminals, but people that may disagree with what ever party is in charge at the time and decides to declare marshall law. Capitalism is what made this country great. A poor immigrant could come to this country work his hands bloody for 20 years, become sucessful and pass that on to his children. We have a private sector for a reason. The Government should keep their hands out of it. As for the Army officer - I believe him I call obama the Trojan Horse..he came in as the Gift this country had been hoping for - and now he is destroying it from the inside out. He took an did a lot of people in Washington D.C. but it doesn't stop them from turning the other way when it suits their agenda or pocketbook. Don't you think when the "Trojan Hosrse" took office and decided to start appointing Czars that in the best interest of the people wouldn't have included : Green Jobs Czar - Van Jones "anti-America n" School Czar - Kevin Jennings "who condones and encourages pedophilies" "wants to teach your teens about fisting" Science Czar - John Holdren compulsory abortion/steriliza tion Trojan Horse took an oath to protect us and instead he would rather embrace his dictator and terriorist friends and tell the world we were wrong. Well, if the is suppose to be "My President" we don't apologize for helping those who couldn't help themselves, we don't apologize for actions that took so many AMERICAN lives, we don't bow to those that are out to destroy what we as AMERICANS hold so dear - FREEDOM. SO if this Officer who is out there fighting for our freedoms believe that this man many of you want to call president thinks he is a imposter then so be it. He along with so many other soilders and military people are out defending us that your so called Pres won't fund is kinda like sending them out to battle with water guns. Speak your mind stick to your morals and values and don't let anyone tell you different. Especially the Chicago style politicians that have taken over Washington!  (Feb 25, 2010 | post #15777)

Would you get away with saying..gee I don't want to provide you with a birth certicate to get a driver license/pass port/job if needed...the answer is no if "WE the People" are held to a standard for something as simple as producing a birth certificate "My" President should be held to the same standard. If he has nothing to hide then why make a big deal out of it. At this point it won't change much, but it is the principal of the matter. it has nothing to do with the color of his skin but the fact that only AMERICAN born can hold the position of President in the United States.  (Feb 24, 2010 | post #15775)

U.S. Army Officer Calls Obama an "Impostor"

Hey..who was in charge at the time that gave Bush the okay....the democrates. Bush doesn't act on his own he needed the backing of Congress prior to going to war. Where are all the stats on how many of our soldiers have been killed in Afgan? I don't see the liberal news doing a count like they did with Bush..why. Because Obama has lost more people than Bush ever did. However, that isn't relavent in Obama's term right - WRONG.  (Feb 24, 2010 | post #15774)

Medical Pot: a legislative committee will be formed to ex...

Okay, this is Iowa not Califorinia. I don't know why the politicians and the liberals want to make this great state more like Califorinia. If I wanted to live in a hippie/liberal state I would have moved to CA. I don't want CA coming here. I understand there are medical purpose for pot..but really do you think it will stop you think people won't abuse this..if you do then apparently you have smoked way too much of the stuff. I don't believe the direction of where our politicians are taking the state is really what the people of Iowa want. I believe if you give us the chance to vote or be heard you will see that the policians are not listening nor do they apparently care because they are passing laws without our consent or blessing.  (Feb 24, 2010 | post #1)

Automated Calls Say Texting Legislation Is About Race Not...

This is one thing that Culver and the idiots up on capital hill have right. Texting is dangerous while driving no matter what the race. However, so is putting on makeup/reading/sha ving/and the various other things I see people doing while they drive. If you are going to ticket someone for texting..shouldn't you also be ticketing the guy who is shaving or reading the newspaper or the ladies who are putting on their morning makeup, smoking, drinking their coffee all while driving. This is a good idea, but it isn't realistic to be able to monitor every single driver out there. I agree that it is a problem and possibly making everyone use a hands free set if on their cell like the state of NY does may be a better solution, as it is right now this is another law that will be used by police when they and if they feel like doing the paper work.  (Feb 24, 2010 | post #25)

Des Moines Police Holding News Conference About Officer C...

I hope this guy gets what is coming to him..I really do. However, all of these comments on here making it a racial thing only confirms what the rest of the country thinks about the people who live here..we are back wood idiots who are trying to be hip by allowing gay marriage. This man was allowed the opportunity to get an education, better himself, provide for his family, and be a role model for other minorities. INSTEAD, he decided to throw that all away and now if the justice system works like it should will be spending a large portion of time behind bars.  (Feb 24, 2010 | post #29)

Iowa Lawmakers Fail In Gay Marriage Move

Yes, because the middle class white male is treated so equally now. Tell that to the fire fighters in Chicago that didn't get hired because they had higher test scores than the African American Males or the fact that the test to be a police office in Chicago is too difficult for minorities to pass they are considering not requiring you to pass a test to be a cop in Chicago. Seriously, I wouldn't feel too safe having someone protect me that isn't smart enough to pass a test. Tell that to the thousands of white middle class men that are loosing jobs due to quotas Affirmative Action in the work place. As for what this country was founded on...lets go back and think for a moment...Why did the Colonist leave their homeland in the first place? It was for religious freedoms - Yes - Yes. This country was founded on Judo-Christian Values and Morals. Something this country seems to care little about or most of this country.  (Feb 15, 2010 | post #69)

The Left Is Becoming Deranged

The supposedly hanged social worker wasn't murdered...he commited suicide. Your just jealous because Air America (funded by the government (left) couldn't keep enough listners to remain on the air) I don't condone the murder of anyone especially in God's house, however I don't believe the rest of your panel think it is a good idea of any President - Right/Left/Center to go to other countries apologize for all we have done and bow to those that don't have any respect for us or for their own people. The left is all about pointing fingers until the fingers start pointing their way. Then it is discrimination or some other horrible act of injustice that the right is trying to pull. Get a life..the Trojan Horse President has the lowest rating of less than 44%...he isn't the great uniter...unless you account for all the dictators, anti-American, and Radicals he looks up to, surrounds himself with, and inspires to be.  (Feb 11, 2010 | post #14187)

Public Forum Held On Des Moines School Budget Cuts

Most of the Des Moines High Schools are on the list of schools that aren't improving when it comes to; drop out rate, math, reading, science scores, and many other things. Cutting 300 teachers isn't going to do anything but ruin the chance for those who want a decent education to get one. Des Moines is the capital and within the capital's own city limits are the schools that are suffering the most. How can the school board members and politicians meet right down the street from some of these high schools and say this is a great place to live and raise your children when we can't even provide an Quality Education. I think some tough choices are going to have to be made in-order for these schools to stay open. Lets start by cutting some of the most expensive programs...your sports programs. Yes, the arguement is that some of these kids stay in school for one purpose and that is to play sports and I understand that. However, for most of these students they will never play professional sports. However, they will always be required to read, write, and do math. Just just think for a minute. What if schools did this crazy thing called teaching the basics Math, Reading, Science, History, English and let students that past those subjects with a decent GPA earn the ability to try out for the IAAU legues or setting a side money for those who can't afford the fees if they maintain a decent GPA. True not everyone would get to play, but now with high school tryouts not everyone gets to play. I think schools put too much into their sports programs and forget that if these kids can't read and do math they have a very dim future. In which the tax payer will have to foot the bill. I am not saying eliminate the ability to play sports, but I think you need to get priorities straight. I also think that reaching out to parents for assistance is another great way to save money. Find out what talents or hidden skills parents have and let them help build the schools back up. There are plenty of people receiving governtment assistance that don't have a job that could work for the school district as payment for that assistance. It would provide free help for the school district, provide experience for those unemployeed or needing a foot in the door, and it puts more adults in the schools to help control the students.  (Feb 10, 2010 | post #16)

Southeast Polk struggles with suicides

I don't go to SEP and am not in high school any more, but I did go to Bondurant and I do understand what the school is going through. We had several suicides at our high school one after the other. There were rumors of a suicide pack and all sorts of things that weren't true and at this point does it really matter. What matters now is how you help and support each other through this. It is how you allow people to deal with this in their own way and on their terms. You can not force someone to stop feeling sad about the situation because it is sad. You can't dwell on why but dwell on what each individual meant to you or to the community. It matters on how you honor the life that each person had and remember all that was good about them. Also for those that are getting ready to graduate and leave - don't forget the ones that are being left behind and were left behind. I know that a year from now or on the anniversary of their untimely deaths, to reach out to the brothers or sisters left behind..let them know you still remember and you won't let the memory of their loved one fade into the past. Be kind to each other, watch over each other, and support each other. It will get better, but it will take time. However, it will NOT be something that you will ever forget nor should it be.  (Feb 10, 2010 | post #78)

Your 2 Cents' Worth Submit brief anonymous comments at De...

President Barack Obama doesn’t go anywhere without his TelePrompter. The textbook-sized panes of glass holding the president’s prepared remarks follow him wherever he speaks. Resting on top of a tall, narrow pole, they flank his podium during speeches in the White House’s stately parlors. They stood next to him on the floor of a manufacturing plant in Indiana as he pitched his economic stimulus plan. They traveled to the Department of Transportation this week and were in the Capitol Rotunda last month when he paid tribute to Abraham Lincoln in six-minute prepared remarks. Obama’s reliance on the teleprompter is unusual — not only because he is famous for his oratory, but because no other president has used one so consistently and at so many events, large and small. com/s/politico/200 90305/pl_politico/ 19663 Your right I am the only one that sees he can't speak w/o a teleprompter - It would be nice if you got your facts right prior to resorting to name calling and insults.  (Feb 10, 2010 | post #21)
