Texas...

They were too tight at the beginning, then they were too loose. It was just a disaster. Kenny apologized for the car being terrible and Kasey goes "well, it's not like the 83 is much better". That race was incredibly boring as a whole.  (Apr 10, 2011 | post #2)

Well, that's disappointing. Innocent victim. Had it not been for getting hung out earlier, he probably wouldn't have been back there. Ah well, that's racing.  (Apr 3, 2011 | post #3)

Kasey annoys me sometimes with his whining. When he said "so we're just going to run here all day" I was like, really? Like you said, it seemed like he gave up and his feedback was terrible. Kenny can't do anything unless you SPEAK. I know drivers want their cars to be virtually perfect, but sometimes I wanna scream at him "you're fast and you're passing cars...can you just shut up & drive the damn thing for a while!!" They got a top 10 out of all that, which was great, but sadly I wasn't impressed with KK's attitude throughout a lot of the race. Can you not have a meltdown for 5 seconds and explain what's going on so they can fix it, please! Ah well, it's over now. Onto Martinsville!  (Mar 30, 2011 | post #6)

He & Kenny were both saying that they're behind on their front end stuff. He complained about the brakes, said they didn't have an issue all weekend until it went green. They had the car good in the middle of the race, but they kept tweaking and it wasn't as good. Sometimes I wanna tell KK "shut up, it's fast leave it alone!!" Haha. But I absolutely love that when they're struggling with the car, they still end up 9th. As opposed to last year when struggling meant finishing 25th. Definitely a step up thus far!  (Mar 21, 2011 | post #3)

Vegas...

Kasey seems to get frustrated really easily. And Kenny's attitude is all like "relax dude, we'll work on it...it's like lap 10". Haha. He was pissed with the engine, he thought he had the worst engine on the track. They struggled with a vibration a lot of the day, he said it felt like the car was going to explode it was shaking so much. They also struggled with the front tires as well. They had finally got it feeling decent for him and his lap times were REALLY good, but then David Ragan happened and put them back to square one. A frustrating day that produced a decent result in the end. It looks like they struggled all weekend considering practice and qualifying speeds.  (Mar 6, 2011 | post #6)

The 500.....

Yeah, you're definitely right about the brakes. Junior kept getting mad at him because he (Junior) didn't "want to go 3 wide yet". Then Junior left to draft with Tony and KK was stuck with Keselowski. I didn't like that pair. Carl was okay. I think we had more partners than we usually had on these tracks! Haha. Too bad Brian crashed out early, they might've been able to work together more. I loved the finish. I was just waiting for Carl to wreck Trevor out there at the end, but I'm so glad he didn't. What a story. And what a classy kid. So happy for him and for Wood Brothers. Been a long time for them!  (Feb 21, 2011 | post #6)

The 500.....

RP tracks are throwaways anyway. He ran up front basically all day and it sucked they had a brake rotor issue. He said they just blew off. Everyone is writing off the season already because he's "having more brake issues". I mean, come on. Let's be real. I'm not going to judge the season based on this issue. If it keeps happening, maybe. The real season starts at Phoenix anyway. Hopefully they run well!  (Feb 21, 2011 | post #2)

Haven't heard anything about the engine. Hopefully it was just a fluke thing or something. He didn't sound too upset, probably because it was just a fun race. Hopefully it doesn't happen in the 500! He'll be running the 38 again in Nationwide. I can't remember which exact races, but I'm pretty sure he's doing Daytona this weekend.  (Feb 15, 2011 | post #4)

They also apparently tried to stop one of the Miss Sprint Cup girls (while she was wearing her firesuit!) and Jamie McMurray!  (Nov 22, 2010 | post #2)

That was about Jimmy's only good move, really. Kasey was SO frustrated with him midway through the race. They were good early, just loose. And every stop Jimmy just made it looser and looser which made Kasey fall back. I kept hearing Kole say "you got it, you got it" - which is NOT comforting! Kasey said to Jimmy "I asked you to tighten it up! Tighten it up, tighten it up, tighten it up!" The car stayed loose for the rest of the race but they got it to where he could at least move up a bit. Then we got lucky with that caution coming out while he was leading (when do we ever get luck with cautions?! ha). He ALMOST had Allmendinger there at the finish for 5th, but alas we had to settle for 6th. Great finish though! Oh, and I'm pretty sure he wanted to show Almirola where the wall was a couple times during the race! He was NOT happy when he was around him. I'm so excited to have Kenny back now, though! Interested to see which other 9 guys make the move over to RB as well.  (Nov 22, 2010 | post #2)

Ha. Wow. But, yay pole! Hopefully they have a good race and finish the season on a high note. Speaking of the 9, apparently a lot of the guys are headed over to Red Bull next season. There was an article on Fox Sports that said Elledge is moving on, as well as a bunch of the 83 team because of all the people Kasey is bringing over.  (Nov 19, 2010 | post #3)

I miss Kenny. All I hear out of Jimmy is "10-4" it feels like. Kenny seems to communicate more with Kasey. It also feels like Kasey tells Jimmy what to do or wants to do the complete opposite of what Jimmy suggests. With Kenny, he suggests something and more often than not Kasey agrees or makes minor tweaks to it. Their first race together I didn't mind Jimmy because he communicated A LOT with him, but it's kind of been going away now.  (Nov 15, 2010 | post #5)

Disaster. Disaster disaster disaster of a race. He couldn't see the sign because they had it hanging at the same height as the team behind them (so the sign Kasey would see first coming down) so it was blocked. And Jimmy didn't count him down to his pit box so Kasey didn't know where to go. Then, of course they left the gas can on the back. Like, really?? Take the damn thing off before you tell him to leave! Then he comes back down for them to take it off AND THEY'RE PREPARING AS IF IT'S A PIT STOP. Kasey COMPLETELY lost his mind on that team after that - something along the lines of "WTF ARE YOU DOING WE JUST HAD A PIT STOP". The car was just bad all day. Kasey was so confused because it was really good (in his words) in practice on Saturday and they only changed two (I think) things before the race and it all went to hell. He basically told Jimmy to figure out what he did to kill it. It got better, but by then he was like 3 laps down from the pit stop disasters, so they couldn't do anything.  (Nov 15, 2010 | post #3)
