WWII in Monroe Bay

.. Jeff Kern SOMEWHERE NEAR WHAT USED TO BE KNOW AS PARKER'S CRAB SHORE, down in the mud lies a WWII torpedo. The story goes, during the great struggle of WWII torpedos were made at the torpedo factory in Alexandria. After production they were shipped out to our fleets by way of the potomac, into the bay and beyond. One night as a shipment of torpedos were being transported down river on a group of smal...ler boats they stopped at Parkers for some world class cooking. Sometime during dinner a great sudden storm blew in. Fearing they would suffer a boat loss in harbor, the boat crews very quickly launched off and in the rush one torpedo rolled off it's cradle and into the water, just off parkers. there was no time to recover the torpedo and the boats continued their emergency departure. Never to recover the Torpedo. this story is reported as true. The torpedo await discovery inches or pershap feet in the cool deep mud of monroe bay. Being in transit, it was never armed. what would such a thing be worth?  (Jan 16, 2012 | post #1)

Your church and do you know what time it is.

Church story.....A man and his family found a church that worshiped God, preached the GOOD NEWS and loved people very much. He and his whole family were saved. Let this be your story.  (Jan 16, 2012 | post #1)
