Arrest made in Union County triple homicide

If that were so, then why did your cousin remove things from the crime scene? Also, is this posting a joke, or are you truly that poor of a speller? I'm going to truly hope that this is a joke, because you really make me sad. Please tell me this posting was a joke!  (Jul 30, 2012 | post #43)

First, thanks to everyone who responded before I could get back here. Now onto "just a friend", are you new? I'm not sure what Bible you study but you are WAY OFF! So, before you try to be snarky in your subsequent responses, you may want to check your facts first!  (Jul 16, 2012 | post #31)

Everyone who has made a statement about "what a sick man Jerry was" seems to disappear when confronted with the question asking to give proof of his sickness. If you're going to say these things then back it up!  (Jul 15, 2012 | post #319)

You can't compare modern ideas of alcohol and sin. They aren't applicable to the Middle East under the Roman Empire. Wine was and is an integral part of Jewish law and tradition. For example, how could Jesus have possibly participated in Passover Seders without consuming wine? To further that, they didn't have the processes that we have today for water purification and drinking wine was much safer than drinking water. The alcohol in the wine killed the bacteria, etc.  (Jul 14, 2012 | post #25)

I don't know if you got to watch the press conference this morning, so I apologize if I repeating info to you, but Cathey said straight out that they have enough evidence on him to convict! As careful and meticulous as they were in gathering evidence and for a sheriff to say that out right, they must have him dead to rights on this.  (Jul 12, 2012 | post #11)

Sheriff: Slayings not random

Hey Pondering, definitely no disrespect here, but North Carolina does have the death penalty. It was reinstituted in 1977. You may have been thinking that NC doesn't have it because its an ongoing debate in several states. It will be interesting to see if the DA will go that route or not.  (Jul 12, 2012 | post #11)

I think that you are a little quick in your rush to judgment. I was actually very pleased that the sheriff called in SBI and that painstaking efforts were taken to be as thorough as possible. Please remember those crime shows on TV don't reflect real life. The forensic testing doesn't go nearly as quickly in real life. You also have to remember that they have to be extremely careful in their approach with collecting evidence and putting it together and before they take it to the DA. You don't ever want any evidence thrown out because of a technicality. There's a strong possibility that they may know who did it, but there has to be enough solid evidence to move forward. I think they've been very professional and have been very guarded with disseminating information. Just be patient, I think they'll get whoever did this.  (Jul 10, 2012 | post #4)

Were you just dying to get that out? If your purpose is to come here and write pejorative commentary then just don't bother. Your comment makes no sense and it's quite apparent with your misogynistic drivel and lack of decorum that you are quite lacking in your own depraved existence that you have nothing better to do than to seek out an extremely sad, emotionally charged situation and choose to make disparaging remarks. Maybe you should try to audition for the Springer show when they focus on the purely pathetic!  (Jul 10, 2012 | post #178)

I would think that you would have prepared yourself for negative feedback when you chose to solicit this community with this tragedy less than a week old. I can certainly appreciate your interest from a somewhat outsider's perspective since you lived in the area, but have since moved. Where I think that you may need to refocus a bit is in your approach. You responded to someone as if you were offended that the person met you with reproach. I would suggest a great deal of sensitivity, compassion, and PATIENCE. I do happen to be closely related to one of the victims and I was taken aback by your eagerness. Just please remember that you are dealing with a highly emotionally charged situation and that people are frightened, heartbroken, and grieving. I'm glad that someone has reached out to you, but just remember going forward to please tread lightly.  (Jul 10, 2012 | post #177)
